Today I had the worst experience. We had reservation for a table of four, and were promptly seated. The hostess immediately brought us water and proceeded to tell us that our server will be by. About 10 minutes later our server, Sandy, asked if we are ready to order but we had yet to receive menus. Our drink orders were taken and the menus were brought. About 10 minutes later or drinks were brought over and our orders were taken. The order included two appetizers two pizzas and a sandwich for a table of 4. Approximately 40 minutes later I inquired about our appetizers and were told that they would check on them. Upon my return to the table the pizzas had arrived and we had yet to receive or appetizers. The appetizers were brought to the table and were cold. At this time we were had yet to see our original server since our arrival. We proceeded to eat our meal and enjoy and enjoy your wine but we had yet to see our server. Halfway through our meal our server stopped by in passing to ask how things were going. Sandy was not polite nor was she engaging with our table. I asked to speak to a manager and proceeded to tell him all of the issues we have had since our arrival. It turned out the manager was the owner and his response to our horrible experience and poor service, was to continualky repeat of I am sorry. The owner then proceeded to tell us that Sandy was not a server but was just there to help out in their time of need. I want accepted Sandys lack of enthusiasm and consistently poor Service as an acceptable response for being there just to help, if she had not been engaging, kind, and polite to all of the surrounding tables. Based off of the treatment that my table was given it is hard to assume that this was not based off of race. I have frequented Hidden Lakes Winery multiple times and had received great service, I am greatly disappointed in todays experience and treatment that me and my party received. I will not return to Hidden Lakes Winery based off of todays experience.

First time visitor and I let the waitress know when we were seated also ,I would of gave a higher rating based on the actual food which we had the lasagna and it was great, what was not great was the waitress and management I couldnt imagine actually booking an event here and having your whole party disappointed, With the lasagna you get one breadstick so I asked for more and at the time would of been a great time to of been told by my waitress there is a charge for each one after the one free of $1 each, also we were the only table our waitress had although getting her to come take your order because she was busy gabbing with others up front with annoying to say the least,Another time I needed something she was still gabbing with others and instead of waiting I went up front to ask her for something,AT the end of this circus of service I was presented the bill and asked the manger to take of the breadsticks charges of 3.00 as I was not asked nor did I consent of this charge and she made me feel like a beggar because she said we dont give free bread here,I said I dont have a problem with that my problem is when something as common as bread has an upcharge the waitress should tell people and ask if that is ok.As I was leaving the waitress shouts to me saying I left my money at the register ,it was her tip ,that I reallly didnt want to tip her anything but I did,she had me walk over so she could tell me she didnt need it and I could have it back so I told her why her tip wasnt great because UMM you didnt earn it !!!! beautiful little place that nickels and dimes its patrons and insults you if you complain ,IT was a chilly night and they are too cheap to even have the fireplace going ,good grief!!!

Reservation promised but wasnt fulfilled. Called early afternoon to place a reservation for two, scheduled for the evening. Was guaranteed a nice outside spot by one employee. I called again, later in the day, to confirm said reservation (thank god I did). I was then told by a separate employee that my reservation was invalid because someone had double booked the outside and our reservation was being sacrificed. The employee then prompted a resolution of sharing the outside with another party...However I was wanting a romantic evening so that wasnt suitable. I inquired about a table inside the winery and was told it really wasnt a romantic spot due to a march madness gathering. I understand that and do not fault the employee nor the winery. I would have like to been notified, well before I called, that my reservation was meaningless so my evening wasnt ruined, along with my significant others.

great staff, very good food, nice wines! Lovely venue and very accomodating staff. We had my husbands birthday dinner here with a group of 12 friends, and every single one of us was delighted with our service, food, wine and atmosphere. Every single guest raved about it and plan on returning very soon. The pizza is very delicious, I was pleasantly surprised due to previous comments. as for the wines, a couple of our guests did the wine tastings, the rest bought bottles and pitchers of frozen wine and shared all together. Everyone found some that they just loved. Our group frequents fine dining establishments and I am a culinary student, and I can say that this establishment is well deserving of a visit! Thank you Hidden Lakes for a wonderful birthday celebration!

I disagree with the negative comments. We went to Hidden Lakes Winery because it a friens suggested it. We were really impressed. Our server was very knowledgeable about the wines. She said she was attending OSU and has a great love and interset in the resturant business. I told her I wanted to do the wine tasting and gave her my list, she said I will bring out a few of my favorites too. She did and actually it was some of her favorites that I purchased in bottles. She also asked during the wine tasting if she could answer any questions for me and she gave me indepth info on the wines I did try. Great place and will be taking family and friends back there. Well worth the hour drive for us.

Went there because the couple my girlfriend and I were with got married there. We were seated right away and we order drinks. Our drinks were brought out and we ordered food. Didnt see our Waitress for 45 minutes... no re orders on our drinks, nothing. Finally, an hour later we asked what was going on. Famous last words "sorry were really busy." Trust me they were not busy. The "general manager, mckenzie, comes to our table after we told then to cancel the food and says, "ok so what did you guys want from me?" I was to shocked by the lack of politeness to even respond. So I gave her a 20 and walk out the door. Never go there. And there wine and whiskey sucks.

While the decor was good, the wine was terrible. The "semi-sweet" wines were sweeter than the "sweet" wines. The raspberry tasted like medicine. The "port" is the worst Ive ever had. The only wine that was any good was the chardonnay. As if to add insult to injury, the wines were served in plastic shoot glasses. The server offered no descriptions of the wines and barely acknowledged us once we received our wine. I will not be returning.
