I took this from my cousins facebook page. I cannot believe that any business would treat potential patrons in this way. DISGRACEFUL. "So...I emailed Heinemans Winery in Put in Bay (where my bachelorette will be) to see when is the exact date they open for the season and he responded and said beg. of May which on the website it says mid April so I replied and said " I thought the website said mid April?" This is his exact response "Are you calling me a liar? TOURS start in early May. You can buy wine here 12 months out of the year for carry out. Im sure my command of the English language is almost as good as yours." I have no desire to go now." And believe me, we wont be going now.

Ive never been more insulted in my life, I spent 13 years in the service industry and have never been turned away like that. The manager (older man with a beard) told us it was a button up shirt only establishment. We went down the street and ten people told us they were there earlier in cut-off shirts. Ive been going to put in bay for ten plus years and never been treated like that. To be turned away based on physical appearance is garbage management and no one should experience this.

Not the best wine in the world but not bad. A really nice experience overall, with the winery tour, and then going into the worlds largest geode, and afterwards having some wine in their pretty garden. Nice. (Tip: Dont be drunk already when you go there.) (Tip #2: If you are an ass when you drink, dont drink before going there.)

Cheap... Probably wont revisit. Felt like I was drinking wine out a plastic shot glass. Wine is fairly inexpensive and will get you drunk if thats what youre after. Gentleman behind the counter was borderline rude. Almost seemed like we were an inconvenience.

what a dump. wines were basic depression era basement swill. sadly the tourist cave was the lone highlight of my visit. if you like barely passible juice fronting as wine come and get toasty here. otherwise stay away from this grade school juice stand.

A great place for some yummy sweet wines! If you think youre a wine connoisseur and are looking for luxury, stay away! You wont fit in and youre not wanted anyway ;) This place is about comfy, casual, fun conversation and very, very drinkable wines!

The best grape juice I have ever had! No kidding, I know its a winery, but try their grape juice, its mind blowingly food. Also, the crystal cave is really cool, totally worth the few dollars to explore it. Feels like your in another world.

Im only 13, but the grape juice is amazing! I went with the Boy Scouts once, and I was hooked. I took, I believe, 6 of the little 50 cent cups. When I go back, Im going to buy a big freaking box to bring back home.

Loved the wine servers. Our group went in thinking about 4 bottles and walked out with 24! What a nice lady, Kiera was. She was soo helpful with our selection. Will be a stop of destination each time we visit.

Dont buy wine from their website unless you want your credit card stolen. Happened to me within one day and even called and told them and they didnt care at all. Good wine but behind on technology!

Wine..not good. Customer service..bad. Hospitality...really lacking. Would not recommend at all. Nasty attitude in ticket/welcome center. Wine tour guide did his job with a good attitude.

I liked the winery, it was a great tour. The cave, not so much. Very small. Go down the steps, listen to a brief background, and go back up. I would give the Winery a 5 but the Geode a 2.

Great wine tour and interesting cave tour. The wine is excellent and they can drop off any bottles you purchase at either ferry for you to pick up before leaving the island.

A visit to the winery has become a tradition every time I go to Put-In-Bay. The cheese plate is very good and its a nice place to take a break from touring the island.

Rude and just illegally refused to allow me into their gift shop because of my service dog. Will be contacting a lawyer as soon as I get home!!!

Decent wine, but not great. Back patio is reminiscent of a summer camp environment. Wine is served in tiny plastic cups. Around $11 for a bottle.

I enjoy the wine and we bought a cheese and crackers plate. Cheese and crackers was delicious. No crowds today. Service was ok.

The wine was good...but felt like a fast food place. They need to update the interior. Plastic chairs and laminate tables.

Largest geode ever discovered was cool to see and the winery tour was informative, but the wine was just mediocre.

No wine tasting trays, back yard environment, Kelleys Island winery beats this place
