Before I get into details, I want to explain my rating: +1 For the quality of food +1 For the theater. Absolutely love the seats, the space, the comfort. -1 The horrendous, absolutely terrible restaurant service across several visits, both inside the theater and in the restaurant area -1 The dismissive and disrespectful attitude at the ticket counter across several visits -1 The ticketing issues and the way problems are handled in the theater Pros: The food has been great, no matter what I order. Some things I feel are priced a bit high (fried pickles) for the portion, but the quality is high. I will say that I have yet to have my food make it out to me hot, but it has not been cold and they are still new and have a large menu. Again, quality will win me over while they spend some months working out their kinks. The theaters are amazing. The seats are comfortable, clean, and the charging ports are a nice touch. The seats recline (but not too much!) with plenty of space between rows. It really is a wonderful combination of being able to stretch out and relax as if you were at home and the group theater experience with the giant screen, wonderful sound and the collective shrieks and laughter of the audience. Absolutely top notch. Cons: The customer service is the worst I have experienced at a theater in a long time, and that is taking into account that I have been roped into going to the Springdale Cinemas twice this year. The food service in the restaurant. I have eaten here three times, and I cant tell you what has possessed me to do it more than once unless it is just me trying to give this place, with all its potential, just one more chance. The seating is chaotic with no guidance as to whether to wait or to take your own seat. Once you take your seat it has never taken less than thirty minutes to get an order in no matter how many people you flag down and beg for a menu. The food takes a long time, but I can be forgiving with a new place and a (too) large menu. But there is no reason I should have to wait 40 minutes for my soft drink (10 minutes longer than the food) and have to ask the gent in the chefs coat who ran my food out for them. There is no reason that no one will ever come by to check on you or the food until they drop the check. In the theater it is just as bad, but in a different way. We were provided the absolute worst plasticware Ive ever received (worse than a $5 chicken joint in the worst part of town you can imaging) despite them continuing to use the normal porcelain plateware. The food will be dropped off, and if you have any requests I beg you to please just give it up, for your own sanity. You are better off waiting for peace in the middle east than you are requesting ketchup for your fries. Just give it up. Now, for the ticketing. At the front counter I have never had a good experience. I came in one afternoon to purchase tickets for a showing the next day and I can not put into words how disengaged the lady working the ticket counter was. I greeted her and asked if I could purchase the tickets for the showtime I wanted. She slowly looked up from her phone, looked back down to where she had it behind the counter, then asked me what it was that I wanted in an incredibly exasperated tone. I wont continue, weve all run into this kind of service before. CONSISTENTLY, the best service has been from the individuals that seat you and the ticket takers. They stand out as being courteous and kind and a real asset. The fact that the people seating are the same people serving in the theater, and the inability to bring the ketchup that you ask for multiple times does not detract from their positive attitudes and friendliness. All in all, Im going to keep going here. There is so much potential, and with the incredible theaters and solid food I believe they can get to a place where I will need to change my rating. But for now, when I want a five star experience and want to feel welcomed I will keep going to Kenwood.

They nailed it! I read mixed reviews and figured, it has to be better than a normal movie theater experience. When making reservations, you actually pick your seats. This keeps you from having to rush for a good seat. I expected movie theater food and service to match. Was I wrong!!! There are a lot of staffers around and I didnt know the exact protocol. For example, when we were about to enter the main doors, there was a sign that stated if you are here for the cinemas please use the next set of doors. At each step, the staff was friendly and directed us on where to go. To my amazement, this is a cool restaurant/bar that just happens to have cinemas. The bar has dozens of beers on tap and the bartenders are very attentive and friendly. My wife, two kids and I arrived about 15 min. early so we had time to grab a drink from the bar and the kids sat at a table that had an electronic tic-tac-toe game on it. Very cool! About 10 min. before the movie start time we walked to our theater and an usher showed us to our seats. We were given menus and told there was a service button on each seat. We can press the button at anytime and a member of the wait staff would arrive. The menu is extensive but I was skeptical! After all, this is a movie theater. We ordered popcorn chicken and waffle fries to start.....and a refill on mom and dads beers. Very quickly the kids drinks came with straws and lids, beers were served and the food was presented well. The popcorn chicken was phenomenal!!! Absolutely perfect and it was served in a popcorn container....with popcorn mixed in. I have to say it again, better than chicken tenders at Cains, bdubs or tender towne. They were crisp and tender inside, just perfect. I actually didnt need a beer refill, but I anticipated a long wait so I ordered one. The service here is lighting fast. This will ruin your movie going experience. Instead of sitting in a seat that resembles a discount airline seat, you sit in a recliner more comfortable than anything in your home. Half way through the movie, we ordered mason jar cheesecake and donuts. Both were astonishing. Three dipping sauces came with the donuts and the quality was on par with deserts at any fine dining restaurant in Cincinnati. We normally go out to eat once or twice per week. The cost of this excursion was slightly more than a typical dinner but on the way home, we decided this is a much better bang for the buck than just a typical dinner. This place rocks! Forget all of the negative reviews, you will not be disappointed.

Theater is nice but the staff is awful. Where do I start? Our waiter had not eaten any of the food off the menu and out of 5 meals he had only tried 1 of them. We ordered an appetizer and 2 entrees; our entrees were served before our appetizer. I ordered a rice bowl for $14 dollars and the rice was uncooked. They remade the dish while my fiance ate her entire meal alone. The re-fire on my dish took another 15 minutes (8 minutes is the food industry standard). The restaurant was dead at this time with only about 5 tables filled. They brought my food out and it was missing sour cream which is supposed to served on top of the bowl. The food was overpriced and does not even compare to the quality of any of the local cheaper restaurants right around the block. DiBellas, Jersey Mikes, Chipotle, J Gumbo, etc all sell much higher quality food for half the cost. We then went to sit in our seats and the girl who scanned my tickets didnt even read them. She told us to go to the wrong theater and when I corrected her she said that theater wasnt seating and that we had to wait another 15 minutes. We then went into the board game room to hear the employees complaining about cleaning in there. Once we finally sat in our seat we were interrupted 3 times during the movie by the staff. They brought us a drink we didnt order, then a pop corn we didnt order, and then during the middle of the movie they asked if we paged for them and we had not. If you go to this theater just go for the movie. Do not eat here and do not ask the staff any questions. Avoid any contact with the staff and you should have an OK experience at 25$ for 2 Adult tickets. Pay attention to the other reviews. People like the idea of this place and do not really comment on the quality of the service. The idea of dinner theater is great, they attempt at it but fail miserably. The theater is nice and seats were comfortable but there are plenty of other theaters that do it better.
