Ive been coming here for years experiencing classes held by various instructors; watching the space evolve and expand, and expand... From the start I have appreciated that those at Asheville Community Yoga welcome all and genuinely care about being able to help others maintain their yoga practice by being donation based. These folks also want to see others staying centered and grounded within as well as in the hectic world we live in. Instructors here really try to create a safe space and support students in listening to their bodies during class. Some yoga instructors push students which can cause injury or put people off from practicing yoga; Ive never experienced that kind of instruction at this studio. I love how uplifting and grounded this space makes me feel, its also super clean and well kept. Theyve got plenty of yoga mats and props for you to use or you can bring your own! Come early to get settled in. There is no need for ego or fear here, just you and your practice and a sense of being held along the way... Thanks for being you Asheville Community Yoga!

Asheville Community Yoga has been a light in my life. I have been attending classes there for over two years, gradually finding my regular practice that I have been searching for for the past decade. The environment is warm and welcoming, providing space for everyone, regardless of age, size, experience, or financial status to come to their practice as often as they would like. The yoga classes are some of the best I have ever been to and the teachers, who teach completely for free as a form of karma yoga (selfless service), are nothing short of exceptional and always fully present. I have recently come to a place where I want to devote myself and dive deeper into the yogic path, as I have already felt the profound benefits that this practice has had in my life, and I have Asheville Community Yoga to thank for acting as the driving force to facilitate my physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual growth.

Asheville Community Yoga is the best! Its a welcoming environment to improve your Self, both body and soul. There are classes for EVERY level... even people who have never done Yoga can come in and try it out, with no pressure & no need to sign up for anything--theres no financial commitment whatsoever. Check out their website & see all the different classes--youll find exactly what you need. Plus they have all the mats & gear right there, just walk in & theyll hook you up. No charge to use their stuff. The teachers are amazing, they explain exactly what to do, step by step, as you do it... they make it easy to be good to your Self! And it really is donation-based, they truly just want to share the joy that is Yoga. Visit A.C.Y., it will change your life! <3

We Love everything this place has to offer. The amazing staff, incredible teachers, and helpful volunteers all Beam from their heart chakras! This is more than a place to "do yoga." This center embodies what yoga truly is as it is filled with immense Love and Service. This place is clean, and flows with such grace as many projects, classes, and events are being organized all the time. The community really has come together to create a place that people can come to heal, relax, and integrate without any judgement. Its a Beautiful nook in Woodfin! Personally, this is my favorite place as I always know I will feel better, just walking in the door. Namaste yall!!!

Asheville Community Yoga is an incredible resource! They have excellent teachers who will bring you into the present moment and extract the most important breathe you will ever take: the present one. Center is donation based with lots of simple volunteer opportunities available if you are short of funds. They have all the equipment you will need for an excellent workout whether it be a relaxing session or a hot flow class. All levels and walks of life are welcome.

One thing I particularly like about this studio is their emphasis (Ive been to many of the different classes all days and times) is their emphasis on doing what feels right (or not doing) for your body. It is the most important lesson I think and very grounded in being present. No "go farther, deeper, push push" here, but lots of support and communion with fellow travelers on the path of life. Donation based in a rarity these days too. Thank you!

Asheville Community Yoga is a sound, comprehensive, integral wonderland of compassion, mindfulness, and love intwined with music, movement, and breath. I strongly believe that ACY helps one find what they are looking for (be it spiritual, mental, and/or physical progress) as well as offering new ventures and opportunities for growth.

Thank you for creating such a magical environment. I feel like I was able to learn the true meaning of love and community, and open a bright new chapter in my life. Even though I am no longer in Asheville, a part of me will always be in that studio, and a part of this community will go with me everywhere I go. Thank you
