Visited July 16 This is a beautiful property, had the pleasure of going with my group- the tour guide was awesome and detailed with the tour, however for individuals there are audio guides- its amazing the level of work that has been done in the house, the restorations, this history thats crammed in one home- there were kids here as there is a summer camp- what an awesome way to give back to the community!! It is a big house, 3 floors and a basement - the last floor is an attic l, can be crammed, mostly the house has central ac, the paintings are amazing, true US art!

We paid $29 to get in (2 adults and a child) and were treated like criminals. A woman that works there stalked us from room to room, scowling at us. At one point she was upstairs and we were downstairs and she was staring down at us from the balcony. It was very creepy. My child was very well behaved, so Im not sure what her problem was. As far as the mansion tour, I think Korners Folly is much more interesting. Save your money unless you can get in for free as a student or member of the military.

I decided to pay for the tour to see Reynolda House. I was greatly impressed with the beauty and achievments. This was a time of peace, propersity, and some sadness. Yet the Reynolds were the historians of the day. The extensive building has not taken away from the history. If you are in the city or have never visited, please come out and visit. Looking at the grounds from the outside makes it seem it is only a house. This is far from true.

My girlfriend and I went to the Reynolda House on a date to see the art they had on exhibit. The art was wonderful but the security staff followed us around and stared at us the whole time we were there, making us feel very uncomfortable. We were dressed nicely, soft spoken, and well mannered; yet for some unknown reason they treated us if we were thieves or criminals. We have never been treated this way before, it hurt our feelings greatly.

Both times that I have been here it was amazing! I went with my art class and as a first date with my fiance. It is gorgeous! You feel as if you were there when the house was just built. The art is beautiful. The employees are friendly. The Reynolda House is a part of Americas and just being there makes you feel part of it. I do not recommend bringing small children there... there is a lot of historical and valuable thing there. I love it!

This compact museum has a small but truly excellent collection of masterpieces of nineteenth-century American landscape paintings by the major artists in the genre. If you like to spend a lot of time gazing into individual works of beauty, you will find this little gem of a museum a very rewarding experience.

The exhibitions are very expensive ($14 dollars for a temporary exhibit!, in europe best museums are less expensive)and is not a family friendly institution, strollers are not accepted inside the museum. I dont want to think, how they handled people in wheelchairs

Sooooo beautiful and the grounds are amazing. They dont allow photography inside the house but you can take as many pictures as you want outside. I kind of liked that, I got more engaged and drawn into the detail and the history.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the current exhibit and the tour of the house. You can actually imagine people living there, unlike some historic homes. Nice education about R.J. Reynolds, his family, and his legacy.

Beautiful. Loved the details. Everyone always liked the basement. I like the family history details. Saw an Ansel Adams exhibit here. Kind of a rock star are exhibit compared to what I would expect here.

The house and museum are nice, but a few of the "guards" are on power trips. You should enjoy the house as long as you dont touch anything... and you probably shouldnt look at anything to long either.

This is no ordinary art museum. Enjoy the former home of R.J. Reynolds and family. Also take in the gardens and Reynolda Village.
