The good - rooms are nice but just typical, pool is nice. Staff seem pretty good, great bar staff. Location is great - Walked up Elm Street to Natty Greens w/ a crowd, lots of fun, fairly happenin street scene. The bad - are you kidding with the fees? $11 to park, $10 for sluggish internet included in any Hampton or Holiday Inn? Bar & Restaurant - ridiculous airport, youre captive style prices. No refrigerator in room. Old CRT TV. This is old school hoteling. And the price for this room is way too high considering the additional fees. But if you need to be in this area, youll probably stay here b/c the options are limited.

I recently visited the Marriott Downtown for a conference, but didnt stay at the hotel as Greensboro is my hometown. The staff was so friendly and helpful, and the rooms and resources provided for our conference were the right size and comfortable. I especially appreciated how they provided water and coffee all day, as well as a 3-course lunch! The hotel has its own parking garage, so that was easy, and I was able to walk to a nearby coffee shop in the morning (before i knew about the free coffee) within a block. Good location for those interested in staying downtown.

My experience was okay at the Marriott. The woman that checked so in was a bit rude. I didnt like that they charged for Internet or that the room didnt have a fridge. Also the bathroom did not have a fan, so I was almost suffocating by the end of my shower. The beds slept alright, but the pillows were garbage. Also, there was no HBO on the TV, which is silly when any cheaper hotel or motel usually will provide that. Overall, I would suggest checking your options, because you may get a better deal with more amenities.

The staff was great. the rooms were clean and well stocked. The gym was nice it was thoughtful of them to supply sealed ear buds in the gym. The pool was cold but nice. The only thing I felt was bad was there was not free WiFi... Everyone offers wifi... I understand maybe charging for faster internet but it would have been nice to check Facebook and things like that without using data while checked into a hotel that we paid what we did for a room... Just came off as kind of cheap on their part...

We were there for meetings-not to spend the night, but you have to pay $10 for one day of parking, 9.95 for wi-fi and the restaurant was WAY overpriced. The food was OK, but when the waitress said "The salads are a really good deal, they are only $2 extra".... Normally that would be fine, but when the entrees were already overpriced at $25-$35 or more, it just seemed silly to call that a good deal. They had steaks but no baked potatoes!

The hotel is very conveniently located. The rooms were ok. The staff are friendly and breakfast is very good. Downside - lack of a fridge and microwave. Had ordered a few Amazon products to the hotel during a 6 day stay and they charged $2.5 for each package even though I picked it up the day it came! A first for any hotel I have stayed in... Will definitely consider other options in the city going forward!

If your staying in downtown Greensboro, you cant beat it. The Bar Staff are especially friendly and go the extra mile to make your stay enjoyable. That is of course not to discount the rest of the staff who equally represent . The price is right for a metro hotel and there are plenty of nightspot hangouts with in walking distance. The property itself could use an update but all good things come in time.

Staff is excellent but bed and toilet were horrible. Sheets did not fit the king size bed and sleep for two people was highly uncomfortable. It was like being short sheeted. Four nights of difficult sleeping at over $180 a night is outrageous. Also the toilet is too small for an adult male with water at a level which made sitting impossible. We will not return to this hotel.

Greensboro Marriott Downtown tiene una atmósfera relajada pero elegante. Todos fueron muy amables y habitaciones estaban más limpios de lo habitual. Buena experiencia.

Central Location and attractive building. Lobby is beautiful. Good service at the bar with out big city prices. Room was clean bed was a touch soft for me. Im a Marriott Elite Reward member and was recognized by the staff. The Staff through out the hotel was great. Best value for a Marriott I have found. +GoogleLocalGuide

Not a bad experience overall, the hotels is nice and clean, has (paid) parking available. The style of the rooms is a bit old-fashioned, which gives them more character but is funny considering the in-room pamphlet describe them as "modern". The gym on the second floor was always clean and well kept when I went.

Very nice and helpful staff. The hotel was clean and everyone at the event had a great time. My only critique is that the servers need to make sure everyone has the starters for their meals; we had to ask for rolls and refills even though we were sitting right in front of their service door.

Very very poor front desk customer service by "Alex." NOT an effective manager or listener. All input on customer service surveys and emails are ignored or unread, even by the hotels overall manager, and is used as a "front" for looking as if they care. Very untypical for a Marriott Hotel...

This place would be nicer if they did some major renovations. They are plagued with old technologies and I think staffing issues. I called room service and the front desk for a half hour straight to get either the phone just ringing and ringing with no answer or a busy signal.

Reception staff was very nice. Checkin was fast and painless. Lobby area is nice. There is a bar and restaurant. I didnt go to either, but lots of folks in the bar. Room was nice. Tv has streaming capability built in. Bed was ok. A little aged, but ok. Overall, nice place.

The location is excellent, but the rooms are dated and hallway noise is loud even behind closed doors (which have fairly large gaps to let sound and light in). Compared to other Marriotts of similar quality, this one was almost twice the usual price, too.

Typical Marriott experience. Friendly staff, comfortable rooms, clean bathrooms and good Internet. Parking is across the street with a 2nd floor bridge. Concierge service on 10 th floor for customers with status is very nice. I will stay here again.

Attended the North Carolina baseball coaches convention. Customer service was excellent. Signage for location was missing when i first arrived and was tough to find the location of the convention. Breakfast in the lobby restaurant was excellent
