Venue: amazing look and feel. This place is classy, fresh, and cool. If I didnt already like gin,Id want to like it just to be here. *Even the bathrooms was amazing. 2. Staff allowed us a last minute tour when we showed up close to closing. They were friendly and fun to chat with 3. Owner was onsite. Hearing their story and getting to tour the facility was awesome. They have a unique brand and are passionate about their products (Gin and Liqours). 4. Local: they source a lot of things locally and also were willing to brag about local places we should check out. 5. Gin and Liqours were delicious and priced well. And tasting was fun and interactive.

Two great gins and three liqueurs. I really liked the chocolate liqueur and the lower proof gin for sipping. The tour was pretty standard if you been on other tours before. Interesting notes on what makes their still different from others. The tasting room is nice but you can only sample when doing the tour and no mixed drinks. You do get to keep the shot glass. Worthy stop before going next-door for dinner or just to take the tour alone.

The tour here is pretty short, as this is a small scale distillery. They make 2 types of gin and 3 liqueurs, and you get to try all of them in the tasting room after seeing where theyre made. Due to regressive alcohol laws in NC you cant actually get a cocktail made here, but have to drink it straight. While I enjoy gin, Im not one to drink it by itself. Take a bottle home with you, or find in your local ABC.

Went to a tour here with a friend of mine last weekend, and had a great time. The tour guide was one of their sales reps who was *very* enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the distilling process. Tour aside, Durham Distillery are the makers of one of my favorite gins and some other very good products! If youre a fan of Baileys, make sure to try their mocha liqueur.

The Navy strength gin is some of my favorite, I wish NC laws would change so I can buy more directly. At least the NC ABC store near me in Carrboro carries this!
