I took two of my friends here, who were visiting from out of town, in an attempt to introduce them to the growing NC wine scene. Well...this was not what I expected. We thought we were in the wrong place when we ended up in a business park. We were about to leave, when we realized that the winery was actually inside one of the office buildings. We all paid for a wine tasting session, and were left disappointed by the quality of the wine. The very fact that the winery was trying to push flavored powder, to add to the wine to enhance its flavor, was very telling. As part of the "wine tasting" package we were told that we would also be able to attend a tour of the winery. They directed us to the tour that had just started, we walked through the door, where we had wine glasses thrust into our hands. Almost immediately, the tour guide informed us that this part of the tour was actually only for their wine club members. They made us return our glasses, and directed us to another smaller room. Here a man told us he would start a tour in a few minutes, while we waited he gave a few facts about the winery...including such gems as "wine is made from grapes", and "our wine master is Polish, he is from Poland". This man then left, and did not return. We waited approximately 10 minutes, and then decided to leave. If you want to sample NC wine I would strongly recommend that you travel further West.

You Are Not Welcome At Chatham Hill Winery!!! I have to agree with the most recent reviews of Chatham Hill Winery. While the exterior of Chatham Hill Winery is not symbolic of a typical winery, it certainly matches the cold and annoyed feel you get when you walk into the establishment. First let me say if you dress in anything but ascots and loafers, you will enter Chatham Hill Winery, and be greeted with looks of disgust. Secondly, the lady will treat you like you know nothing about wine, and while I can say I know nothing about Chatham Hill Wines, I do know wine, and how people should be treated at a winery. Lastly the wine is great, but dont stay there, because they do not know how to treat people, and when you go there 3 hours before they close on a Saturday, the people who work at Chatham Hill Winery, will tell you sorry we are rude its just the end of the day.

We are new to the area from New York.... I thought people from the south were accomodating and nice until my wife and I visited this winery!! Never in all of our years of enjoying wineries have we been treated as if we were uneducated on wine more. The lady was unpleasent and acted as if we were annoying her us just being there!! We usually buy a few cases of wine when we go to a winery, this place was lucky to get our $20 for te tasting..... Never again!

There were approximately seven couples. Nancy discussed the various types of wine and the NC growing areas. We had an informative tour of the facility. We sampled at least six wines while Nancy explained their differences. We found the staff to be very friendly and informative. My wife and I have visited numerous wineries and we found this tour to be one of the better ones. No complaints.

Chatham Hill Winery is a great place to go and have a great time tasting NC wine. I enjoy the environment, the staff, and especially the fabulous wine. This is a great place to go with a group, or just go for a low key time to enjoy a glass of wine outside on the patio on a cool fall evening. I highly recommend this winery!!! Great times, Great people, Great WINE!!!!!

Reds are better than the whites, but nothing stands out. Very impersonal tasting, and they were particularly understaffed for a busy Saturday trying to offer tours and tastings simultaneously. The woman pouring our tasting rather awkwardly asked me if I was over 21...halfway through the tasting. It was as though she hadnt really been looking at or engaging with us.

I always have a great time when going to Chatham Hill winery. I love the staff and the wines are the best. Every time my husband and I go to a NC wine festival, we always find that Chatham Hill wines taste the best out of them all. I recommend anyone to come and visit the winery.

Ive been to the wine tastings here and always have a great time. They have events with food trucks and local Meet Ups, the last time they had a local new brewery and a jazz band, a regular spot with friendly owners. They need to add more art on the walls to enjoy while sipping wine.

One of the best things about Chatham Hill is being able to enjoy wine made from NC viniferous grapes in an area that is dominated by muscadine and scuppernog. There are always fun and different events going on at the winery. I highly recommend the Chardonnay for your summer meals!

Service and Staff Interaction. The manager or who appeared to be the manager, did not allow the lady who started our wine tasting experience to continue. Instead replaced her and rushed us through the tasting. Wish the interaction with the wine tasting staff had been better.

For North Carolina this is a pretty good winery. We did the dry tasting and everything was very drinkable and smooth. This is not an actual Vineyard, only a tasting room. FYI, there are also three good breweries within walking distance.
