"Stragglers dont do well." .. Was how an actor taunted me after I was fed up with anticipating every move and every scare, and then decided to move way ahead of my group. In a horror movie, Id either be the first one to get killed or the heroine. My 50/50 odds are good. I went with a group of 9 and I am telling all of you thrill seekers that this is not good idea. Always go with less people if you want a real surprise. Otherwise, you can literally anticipate when and where the actors will be hiding. This is no fun. If youre too chicken $hit to go alone or even with a small group, then maybe Im going to hide in your closet and scare your pants off. I did zero research on this place before I came to avoid spoilers. Theres a ton of acreage, plenty of opportunities to create elaborate stages for haunted environments. I went this past Sunday around 7pm and the lines were longest to get onto the hayride. Other than that, every line moved pretty smoothly for my group. The best part was the hayride, which is essentially the first leg of the horseman experience. Sit on the edges; my recommendation for the business is to not allow any middle seating. I was one of the unlucky few who got stuck in the middle. Only people on the edges will get action. The hayride took us through very nicely done sets; there was a theme to it all, and I was impressed by one part that did shock me. Once the ride is over, you are led to the first of the house attractions. I was hyped since the set designs were so great on the ride, and I was expecting the same within. The scares, however, were minimal. Like I said, the large crowds acted as bad spoilers. Secondly, the actors could have been more committed. Lastly, while the backdrops were immaculate, primed with even mechanical structures, the actors were in very poorly done makeup. Most of them had minimal pale makeup and the occasional blood trail on their faces; they looked way too human- and not even in a zombie makeup type of way. The most that they carried was a small baby prop. There was nothing frightening whatsoever. It was very disappointing. The corn maze was another let-down. It was so brightly light and very sparse as well. You could literally see down the rows and find the moving structures ahead of the game. This area offered little hiding spots for the actors. There was literally no point to this section except for the long stroll/exercise from walking. Did I mention the crazy guy who stopped to have panel discussions with the cheesy mechanical dogs and whatnot? At least he was entertaining.. until he became annoying. With so much land and details everywhere, they slacked in the most important element: the human element. They literally need more actors- some people were recurring in different buildings. The $40+ price tag was too hefty for what we got; I feel $25 would have been more appropriate. However, I still made the most of my time by watching as my friends shrieked and ran from the frights. I even joined in to help scare them. Im a great friend as you can see.

This haunted house used to be my favorite fall activity. It has become an annual tradition to go for a fun night with a bunch of friends. With each passing year, the lines get longer and the ticket price increases. This year we chose an 8:30pm hayride time... we ended up boarding the hayride at 11:20pm. When we pulled into the farm, we were told it was full and directed to an outpost lot a mile down the road. We parked and stood on a line to board a bus for almost an hour. We were told not to walk the mile because that woudl result in a ticket or being arrested. After we arrived at the farm, we then stood in a line to get inside the attraction for only 15 mins. Thats when the fun began! We entered the halloween village area and were told to stand on an "express line" because our 8:30 time slot was being let in. We stood on this line for an hour before entering the "holding cell" line, where you are grouped together with 20 others in a cattle herding section of the farm. Your group is moved through a maze of "holding cells" before reaching the actual line where you board the hayride. This process took 3 hours. THREE HOURS. The hayride was not as great as it could have been or usually is, but overall enjoyable. Every year the storyline/theme of the place changes but other a few than costumes and props, nothing else seems to change. There were a few scary moments and my group definately had fun going through each attraction, but the mechanical props and old soundtracks made it less appealing and ruined the spooky atmosphere. Not to mention, this years storyline made absolutely no sense. I was lost. We did not finish going through all the 10 attractions until 1am. Remember, we had 8:30 reservations.... I dont think that I will go back. Our night was sold out, which meant it would be crowded, but i did not expect the entire evening to be 4.5 hours of waiting on lines. They do, however, give each ticketholder a coupon for a free Junior Frosty from Wendys (not a regular size Frosty, a junior one. The smallest of frostys). I am sad to say, my friends and I will not be continuing this tradition.

My family and I arrived at the headless horseman at 6:50 pm are tickets where for 7 o clock. It took us about 5 min to get in.When we where being checked they said to my parent that they arent allowed to bring in her camera in and she was only going into the midway The security guard was rude to her so my brother had to run and put her camera in the car.So we entered the midway and they called are tickets and we got right on the hayride. The hayride and haunted house where great. They had great theming but there was alot of empty space where nothing happen where they couldve put a actor in or a animatronic . I still had a great time there but it was more cool than scary and im hoping that I can work there next year

Went last minute with some friends who already reserved their tickets. The goal is to get the early tickets before the crowds arrive. We spent a little over an hour enjoying ourselves on the hayride and all the houses and walking through the fields, etc. We were in and out of everything fairly quickly because of this. One of the actors was a jerk (but was being a jerk, in character, so who knows if it was all a ruse to rile me up or not). Really had a good time with my friends and we had a lot of laughs at those of us who got startled from some of the actors. Would definitely do again, but would have to do it early again because as we were gearing up to leave, the crowds were forming.

This was one of the worst experiences I have had. After going through everything and then reading the reviews, every review about lines is correct. The lines are crazy and the wait time is unreal. You make a reservation for 945 and you dont get on the hayride until 1215. You wait in line after line after line. Its just terrible. They treat you like cattle as you are trapped in these cages for cattle. The people running the lines are rude, especially Larry. Now, after waiting almost 3 hours for the hayride, it isnt even scary. They tell you to expect 3 hours of fright but in all reality, expect 3.5 hours of lines and 1 hour of actual events that arent very scary. Good luck everybody.
