Love the course, and shot game area. Greens were fast and true. Driving range is too short. They need to either put up nets or go with limited flight balls so you can hit more then just irons. They also need to space out the tees times more. 8 minute tee times dont work, you dont start on time and the course gets packed and it slows down play. With 5 sets of tees the course is playable for everyone, however people need to play the correct set of tees. The group in front of us was playing from the tips (tour) when they should have been playing from the middle tees which also slows down play. We spent the entire round watching them hit from the drop areas on all of the forced carry holes. The price is great on weekday afternoons, but is a little steep on weekend mornings.

Ranger or club Bouncer?? This was my first time forced to skip a hole in 10 years of playing. Without warning to pickup the pace, he forced us to skip a hole. The amusing part was, he made the front group to skip a hole and 20 mins later he did the same thing to us not comprehending that we should be hole behind obviously (just dum). Plus, when we got to the next hole, the group was just teeing off and then had to wait every holes. I tried to find the Ranger later but couldnt find him , probably was hiding in the woods. Dear Superintendent- Recommend a written Rules of The Road in place so all rangers understand the task and standardize instead of them doing their own thing.

Quite an experience being able to play a Jack Nicklaus signature course for such a bargain! Although it has an incredible layout, it is a public course. Divots are not always fixed on the greens and especially never fixed on the fairways. Other than that (which, is honestly not a big deal and expected at public courses) the staff was friendly with me, especially the halfway house attendant (she was extremely nice!), and overall I had a great experience. Troon definitely knows how to keep a course nice! I recommend this course to anyone except beginners. I will definitely be going back next year and hopefully there arent 30mph winds like this time!

The course and layout is great.....but......the maintenance is marginal. I have played this course several times a year, for years. I wont be coming back. The pace is terrible on weekends. We waited on EVERY tee for 18 holes. No rangers in site. The starter sent people off haphazardly. It backed up on #2, a par 3. The condition of the course is like a muni. The people working are not pleasant and poorly trained. The driving range rarely has balls. It is a shame that a great Nicklaus track has been neutered.

12 of us played 18 in the morning and another 18 after lunch on 08/06/2013. The course was always top notch - Fun and challenging layout, demanding length, great view. But more impressive than anything was the speed and the condition of Greens. Cant say anything negative about Mansion Ridge this year. I hope it stays like this for many years to come. However, its a bit pricey so Im always looking for a special promo to book for my group of 12.

I hadnt played MR in over a year but decided to go back and give it another try. Now I remember why I hadnt gone there in so long....8 minute tee times. It was a 5 and 1/2 hour round. On top of that we started 20 minutes late. Ridiculous! Last time I think it us took 6 hours to play. Wont go back until they start using 10 minute tee times and getting people to play from the correct tees.

The course was great but the ranger was an ass. We were admittedly slow, but instead of asking us to pick up the pace, he made us skip a hole. All he had to do is tell us to pick it up and we would have. I bring a lot of clients here over the year and will not only not play there again but I will tell everyone not to as well. What an ass

I have had the pleasure of playing Mansion ridge a few times. Its a beautiful beautifull course. 18 signature holes in my opnion. Love the 15th with a rock face background. What makes the course better are the people in the pro shop, very friendly very accomodating. Thx guys.

The rudest staff around!! Showed up long before our scheduled T time, was talked down upon like we were late and pushed out in to the course only to wait five minutes for the group ahead of us. Would never go back

Mansion Ridge is a great course - unfortunately the rangers are very aggressive- in particular when it is uncalled for. its practically harassment. totally unacceptable !

Really nice track. Quicker drive from North Jersey than you would expect. A little pricey but way preferable to some local alternatives.
