The fact is there are not very many restaurants in this area, and I live about 5 miles from this one, so I know. Ive been to River Edge a few times, and I hope the owners read this and "step it up." Your food is okay but it could be so much better. And your servers are slow and inattentive. Dont you ever watch Gordon Ramseys Kitchen Nightmares? We all just want Fresh, Simply-Prepared Dishes that dont cost an arm-and-a-leg! And within an hour or so from the time we sit down would be nice. Is that too much to ask? I can even overlook that weird, outdated decor in your dining room if you would serve delicious, FRESH food. You have a great location right on 17B, why not make the menu a great one? Youre coming to work anyway, why not take it to the next level and become THE PLACE where everyone wants to eat?

Have eaten there a few times. First time was great food and service. One specific time I went and had an obnoxious waitress I believe her name was Danielle, gave me an attitude because I wasnt happy how they cooked my steak and was hesitant to take it back for further prep. Then wanted me to bring in my plates if weather were to change. The place is empty so getting our drink should have been quick. Dont even waste your money, youre better off grabbing a slice of pizza in Monticello.

Stopped there one night after sons basketball game and will never make that mistake again!!! Looked nice at first but behind the bar carpet being held down by silver duct tape, the wallpaper and border were peeling off the wall. The carpet hadnt been cleaned in like forever and the prices were that of a Manhattan pub!!! $12 for a burger.. like wtf they have nerve to charge that price with the place in that run down of condition!!!! And the food wasnt good either!!!!

Very relaxed with beautiful view of the river. Extremely accommodating. I couldnt find a soup I liked on the menu so they made a single bowl of soup. My son wanted buffalo wings but I wanted teriaki wings. They split the portion in half with each us getting what we wanted. Waitress was attentive and food came out in timely fashion. This is a great little restaurant .

This steak house is situated in a gorgeous and unusual setting overlooking a river in the Catskills mountains. The food was delicious. We had a big thick burger, perfect fries and a corn beef and pastrami sandwich that was bursting at the seams. There is a well stocked bar and the service is very friendly and polite.

Great place! We are visiting at Yankee lake & like to eat at local restaurants! The Rivers Edge sounded good & it delivered! The salad & bread were great & the salmon was amazing!! The steak was ok...a little tough! The service & atmosphere were great! We will be back & recommend to family & friends!

Everyone there will go out of their way for the customers enjoyment and satisfaction. Very relaxing atmosphere before 9, then the bar kicks up with regular open mix nights and special events like beer pong.

Good service. But I tasted, on my steak, the burned sauces stuck to the grill. & 2 others from different tables in the room had the same complaint

Come here for incredible wings and paninis. Stay for a few good drinks. Great prices, service, and atmosphere (especially if you sit outside).

Delicious and glatt kosher, two words that dont always go together. Also have to try the French fries, which are fresh cut
