Terrible. I cant think of a dining experience I have ever had that was worse than this. The dining room is wood paneled, dimly lit, and fairly loud for the small number of people that it can fit. The decor was like a mountain cabin - deer mounted on the wall, a wood fire in the corner- not bad, cozy. This area would probably be better as just a bar, but its too far from anything. The menu is only about a dozen items including apps and salads. I ordered a ribeye steak that was a special that night, since there was no other beef option apart from a burger. I ordered my steak medium - it came barely rare, still cold inside but somehow burnt on the outside. The paprika butter topping had less flavor than the plain butter youd get at the grocery store. When my waitress finally came back to the table, I explained that the steak was still raw. I did not want to send it back to be cooked, there was little edible meat to begin with. She did take one of the steaks off the bill, but argued with my wife and I about the doneness of beef. Some people may enjoy a rustic cabin atmosphere, though Id try to avoid the staff and food.

Perfect base for a fly fishing weekend in the Catskills Friendly, accurate communication w/ Arnold House immediately set us at ease for securing a bite to eat after the evening hatch. Start to finish the staff was present and helpful and the service, beverages and food were excellent in The Tavern. The old inn has been lovingly and simply restored with plenty of places to lounge and relax by a fire and grab a freshly baked cookie to boot. The owners have made plenty of places for waders, boots, and other outdoor equipment on the porch so that ones room is not a drying shed. We had a delightful time and look forward to another visit once fishing season opens.

The Arnold House is a stable in the neighborhood. Good food, stylish atmosphere, friendly people. We loved having a party in the 60s style lounge - a fire in the fireplace, canapés on the table, our own DJ spinning - great place for a party. And we enjoy the restaurant and pub too, on other occasions.

Came here to explore as a potential wedding venue. Staff was very friendly and helpful and provided tastings of some of the menu items. Had a good selection of beer and good food. Some of the items were on the salty side. Place itself has an old school rustic feel. I liked the decor quite a bit.

Felt like we were eating in someones basement in the 1970s. The food was horrible. My steak was some how burnt on the outside and raw inside (still cold) I would have sent it back to be cooked more but after our server left our food she never came back to check on the table. Would not recommend.

Mid-century vibe. Great tavern with delicious food and great local draft beers. If theres music in the BBQ barn, check it out. We loved the musicians. Close to excellent hiking opportunities. Their fireplace and cozy sitting area is perfect for a coffee or nightcap.

This place was able to take a party of 16. Service in the dining room was fast, and friendly. The kitchen screwed up 3 orders, but things were corrected fairly quickly. The food was great. Lots of good beers from local breweries.

I can overstate how wonderful this place is. Fantastic rooms, delicious breakfast, and oh the bar. The bar is perfect. The sitting room is also an architectural marvel and cozy as grandmas house. I will definitely return.

Friendly service. Charming atmosphere. Great food. They have entertainment during most weekends in the summer and fall. The inn and spa are inviting and quaint with modern feel. Popular for weddings.

Great service. Had the grilled romaine salad which was wonderful and then the chicken biscuit sandwich. The chicken was a bit lost in the biscuit and couldve had more favor but wasnt terrible.

Kind of cool and rustic kitchy style place. Food was fine, not great, and not exciting enough for us to want to go back there for a meal. The rural location is the most unique factor.

Had a wonderful stay, great place to get away. Staff was great and the spa on the property was great as well. I would recommend for a relaxing get away.
