On May 1, 2014, I went to play 9-holes at Willowbrook Golf Club as part of an assignment for my class at SUNY Cortland. If you are a novice golfer or have golfed before, DO NOT go to Willowbrook Golf Club! Walking into the club I immediately felt uncomfortable since I had never golfed before. My friend and I walked up to the register and were greeted by a woman with blonde/brown curly hair. The first thing she said to us was "Have you guys ever golfed before?" to which we responded "no." She replied, in a nasty voice, "Well, just so you know, it is very obvious that you have never played before." I realize now that this rude woman may be one of the owners. I have never felt so uncomfortable, unwanted, and judged before and this woman took the cake. In the end, my friend was told she was not allowed on the green because she was wearing a walking boot so we each got a full refund and left never to return again. Somehow our observant curly haired lady failed to notice the boot when we first walked in. I guess she was more interested in our amateur appearance. If you are a first time golfer or interested in being treated politely, this place is not for you! This woman will judge you and make you feel like you dont belong so, DO NOT GO THERE!!

The gold course is absolutely beautiful. You can tell management and the grounds crew want you to have a great experience and take the time to maintain the grounds. There is a reason it is the top pick in Cortland County.

Excellent price for the quality of the course. Many leagues available, will stay open late into the season as weather dictates, and staff is very friendly!
