My first impression of the store was nice. It was set up very nice and didnt feel like the dark and dingy fish stores you normally see around here. However, thats where my good impression ends. I purchased 2 clown Fish from them. And the woman helping me was pretty rude, kept complaining how she was "the only cashier there." She just had an attitude. Fast forward, I get home with the fish, acclimate them properly, and in the tank they went (There were no other fish in the tank but the 2 clowns). One of them was acting very strange and just hanging out in the corner, I thought, ok, hes just not used to it. The next morning he was in a different corner, still being weird while The other clown was swimming about. A few hours later he was dead, didnt even see him struggling or anything. It was about 24 hours since I had gotten them, however the store was closed at this point. I called them the next day and asked if there was anything they could do. The woman was very rude and asked "Well if it died yesterday why are you just calling today?" I told her because by the time I saw it they were closed. She told me they do not guarantee live fish once they make it home. Thats the first time Ive heard of that policy. Even online fish retailers will guarantee live arrival and even up to 48 hours after receiving a fish. So for a local store to not guarantee anything past it getting home is unheard of to me. Im out the $20 for the one fish. Im glad I didnt buy more expensive fish from them. I will not be shopping there again. Ill go to Pets Warehouse. Even if she was just a little nicer with explaining the policy I wouldve been ok. But she was very rude about it.

A very disappointing experience at this store, after being a loyal customer since it opened less than a year ago. We learned that the owner will not stand behind his "livestock" as he was not willing to even offer a partial store credit for a purchase made within 2 days!! (the $90 fish died in under 48 hours) He blamed us for this, even though all other fish in the tank were purchased here and are all sill thriving. A simple $40 store credit (NOT REFUND) would have kept us satisfied, but he was not willing to consider this. Since he does not seem to value a customer who spends approximately $200 per visit- we will NOT return- nor will we recommend this establishment to family or friends.

Was very surprised to find a small shark tank! There were also remoras in the same tank. Had quite a few exotic pets which probably werent for sale. It turned out to be almost like going to an actual aquarium! I was just looking for some aquarium supplies and got a free show :) As far as fish stock, had a lot more variation than you would find at chain pet stores. Most types I had never even seen before and were for sale! Also had a good variety of aquatic plants. Picked myself up a moss ball and a resin ornament I had not seen anywhere else, including online. This place actually exists in the spot of the empty store on the Google Map Street View, it just hasnt been updated.

I have dealt directly with the new owner Tony and he is very helpful. I believe they have changed ownership recently based on people referring to a different owner in the bad reviews. The Staff is very helpful and patient with me being a new salt water tank owner and the fish (fresh and salt) have all done well. They have a large selection and are very helpful regarding aquascaping, troubleshooting and getting a tank started. Most of the tanks and fish in the store are well taken care of and mostly clearly labeled and priced. Will continue shopping there.

They have a lot of nice stuff but i saw lots of sick or dead fish. I purchased two blood red shrimp, $30 each, one of which died a few hours later during acclimation. Why did acclimation take so long? Their fish tanks are kept at an SG of 1.015 and the invert tanks were about 1.020, this is far too low IMO. Not sure about SG in the coral tanks because i didnt purchase anything out of them. I will stay away from this place as there are better places around the island.

They have NO guarantee on their fish. They sell fish with WORMS and they do not even sell the wormer to take care of them. We bought 10 fish from them. One died within 24 hours. One has a long pink worm and we have to wait a week to get the worm medicine online. This company will do NOTHING after selling us sick and wormy fish. Not to mention what might be wrong with the others. Save yourself the head ache and AVOID this store.

Last time i was there (about 3 yrs ago), the place was awful. The tanks were full of cyano and hair algae. Since then (new management/ownership) the place has REALLY turned around and now all the tanks look healthy and vibrant. It really shows the care the new owner has given this place. I now feel very comfortable driving from Northport and do some shopping there for new corals and aquarium supplies.

This shop has really made a turn around from what it was ~6months ago. The owner & workers are friendly (when you can get a hold of one) and the stock has really improved. Big well established sps colonies for fairly cheap prices (all different types) and certain combo discounts. Was in today and saw some awesome hammer colonies. My fish and inverts have all been fine.

Wonder selection of fish. The people who work there are very nice and knowledgeable and good with answering a million questions from kids. I have purchased reptiles, fish, equipment, and things like crickets and food for the pets. I have always had great experiences there and my kids love looking at all the fish. Great prices and staff and its clean.

Tony and the crew over there are awesome! The corals are amazing and the prices cant be beat. They have alot of hard to get corals with amazing colors. Just started getting into freshwater planted tanks and they have a large assortment of those too. Definitely a place worth going out of your way for.

Its a my favorite store because the owner and one of his employees are genuine in helping me and not just selling me stuff. Fair prices, convinient location. Great looking Exotic tank with silver "flat fish" and a crocodile. Areas that they can improve: when they get new shipment, its crowded

Owner doesnt know how to keep high paying and frequent customers to want to come back. He thinks if he has a fish for 2 months and it eats all is good. Go to pet warehouse they remember regular customers.
