I Purchased a Skimmer for my salt water tank. I assembled as instructions said. The tube used to adjust the flow vibrated so much i had to stick a sock between that and the cup to cut the noise down the first night. Per the Warranty paper in the box and there website and over the phone. I need a proof of purchase not a sale receipt (Just shows my credit card went through). So i went back to the store with there sales receipt explaining what is wrong. I wasnt asking for a refund but an exchange or credit. Just like there sign says 21 day return policy and no refunds. It was only 3 days i had it. Explaining the whole receipt thing as well. He called his supervisor was on the phone for over five minutes. His supervisor said to try to return it back to the manufacturer. I simply said that it isnt going to work. (Trying to explain again). The kid hangs up on his boss. Looks at me and Starts cursing at me to get out of his store using all types of profanity. In a nicer version of what he said. Get your crap and get the hell out of my store. Except hell was the f-word. There were other customers near me when the kid did this. This place is really unprofessional and out right rude!! They dont even honor there own return policy. Then yell at there customers i felt as if i walked in there breaking stuff. Just outright disrespectful!!!!!

Normally i would give this shop 5 stars as I have had very good experiences with them in the past. They have a great selection of fish and the prices are very reasonable. I have some angels I bought from them 9 years ago in one of my tanks right now. My recent experience with them unfortunately was not so pleasant. I purchased a couple of Rubbernose/Bulldog plecos from them and within a couple of days of purchase I noticed one of them acting a little strange. Upon close inspection I noticed that both of the plecos were infested with Ich. I quickly quarantined the fish an started treating them but unfortunately one did not make it. I dont want to be too harsh here but when I called to explain the situation I was pretty much brushed off and the shop acted like it was no big deal that they sold me a fish with Ich. I understand that sometimes these things go unnoticed in pet shops but still a little disconcerting. My hope is that after I informed them of what happened that they have quarantined the remaining plecos in their store and have started treating them.

They will pretty much get anything you ask for, it might take a few weeks but they will get it. Texas Holey Rock...impossible to find in CT right? In about 3 weeks they brought in 300 lbs. for me to choose from. And I now have a great looking Cichlid tank because of it. My 2nd tank is brackish; needed some tough to find fish and they got them for me. My only negative is that they do not know much about true brackish tanks. I was told regular aquarium salt was ok for brackish fish...incorrect, you must use a sea salt, such as instant ocean. But, overall its a great place with friendly staff to find whatever you need.

I live in NYC and Cape Cod and go out of my way to visit this store. I first found it when I was a bit new to the tropical fish game and looking for nice Angel Fish. I scored with this one. Theyre fish tanks seem well kept - all the fish look healthy. (This matters to me as Ive recently visited a relatively well-known store in MA and was greatly disappointed to find dead fish in numerous tanks.) The staff are very friendly and helpful. Theyre even nice when they answer the phone - as I often call ahead to ensure theyre open. (They always have been.)

Ive been going here for a couple years now, and I have to say that this is one excellent place for fish and supplies. The selection includes many harder-to-find things, and all the fish Ive brought home have been happy, strong, and healthy. I love the plants, the options, and the exceptional help Ive received from them every time Ive been there. Ive come to trust them as a major source for all my aquarium needs.

I love this place! They help me with my questions. I buy all my used tanks there. You cannot beat there used prices. Lots of products and verity. They will even find and order fish and plants for you. And they sell bugs! Lower price than the pet stores. I get my lizard food there as well. Its a small space packed full of wonder.

Great, knowledgable staff. Lots of used and new equipment to choose from, and the fish variety is very good (and they all look very well maintained, unlike large chain retailers). The staff seem to genuinely care about helping you and as a novice this is really appreciated!

Place is awesome. Has a huge selection. A lil tight to walk especially with kids but they constantly have new fish in and out. Def recommend checking this place out
