A great venue but some communication issues. Our first consultations with the GM were exceptional and the general manager, Joe, was excellent and really strives for great customer service. We initially started working with Lauren but were then shifted to Megan. We were in the dome room. The room has just been redone this year and it looks amazing! It is absolutely beautiful and very classy without being overdone. The food is also delicious! All of our guests were raving about the quality of the food, the amount of food, and the amazing dessert room! Bartenders were friendly and Wanda, our captain for the night, was wonderful. She really went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and also catered to our parents. The only thing about using the GM is that communication seemed to be an issue, so you need to stay on top of things with them and stay organized. Megan was great with communicating until the month before the wedding and then stopped promptly answering emails or calls. It was frustrating as this was the most stressful time and I wasnt receiving any communication back. She had also told us that table numbers were not provided, that we could pick up our gifts and decor the day after the wedding, and that a check would be issued to us on the day of the wedding with the balance (we had overpaid). On the day of the wedding, we had incorporated table numbers into our centerpieces. When I walked into the ballroom, there were printed table numbers in awful gold frames next to our centerpieces. They didnt match our decor at all. When I told the maitre-d, Austin, I wanted them removed, they were promptly removed. However, they still got in our photographers photos. At the end of the wedding, Austin started collecting all of our items for us. We were told leaving them until the next day was not an option. The valet was all backed-up as well due to a sweet 16. Our shuttle bus was unable to pick us up for about 15 minutes due to the disorganization of the valet. Guests began to get frustrated. After the wedding I realized we had never received the check. It took multiple phone calls to Megan and Joe before and after our honeymoon before the check was finally mailed out. It was mailed out to my parents’ house but had my name on the check, so even cashing it was difficult. All in all, I did love the Grand Marquis and my wedding was beautiful. However, the poor communication at the end really put a damper on a venue that I had originally thought had amazing customer service. If their staff could all get on the same page, this venue would be perfect.

BRIDES BEWARE. My family and I are appalled by the lack of integrity and professionalism of the staff of the Grand Marquis and we would never EVER do business with them again. I had to cancel a party there last year due to a family members serious illness. Going against policy and out of the "goodness of his heart," Larry, the owner, told me he would graciously reimburse us half of our deposit. It was like a Godsend as I was drowning in medical bills and that was all the money I had in the world. Well Larry strung us along for months and the money never came. We called and no one called us back. I was so distraught over this that I had my fiance call and when he finally got through, Larry once again PROMISED this money was coming by May. Well now its almost June and there is no check and no one will return our calls. First they lie to us, then they can’t even return our calls? Is this how the Grand Marquis treats its clients? Seriously, in this economy where word of mouth is so important to someone’s business, this is what you do? None of this ever would have happened if Larry didn’t promise TWICE that he was refunding me that money. Those were his words. I don’t understand why it was necessary for me to be lied to. Its been six months Im waiting to hear from him and receive this money and there is nothing. All he had to do was call back and tell me he changed his mind instead of lying to me and to my fiancé and make us go through all this stress for nothing. Ive delt with many businesses in my life and I never had anyone treat me with such disrespect and deceitfulness. I tried to call back this week and when I was explaining this to the assistant that answered the phone, she hung up on me in mid sentence. When I was signing contracts they couldnt have been nicer and now because I am asking them to make good on THEIR OWN PROMISE, I am treated like garbage??? They should be ashamed of themselves for acting so deplorably to a customer. What a total disgrace they have made of their once-good name in our eyes. If anyone decides to do business with them....good luck. You will need it.
I have never come across such an attentive set of individuals from the moment I walked into the wedding venue I was greeted and offered a beverage. This was the first wedding venue I had visited I was newly engaged and very excited!! The tour began in the beautiful piano room than the cocktail rooms and than THE DOME!! They had me sold it was already incredibly beautiful. They had it set up for another wedding event. The lighting, the new chairs, the curtains everything was stunning. Lauren answered every question with detail as all brides to be are anxious to know every detail for their wedding day. I was nervous but Lauren put me at ease. I was so impressed I decided to bring my parents and fiances parents to visit and for a food tasting. Once we tasted the food we knew this was where we wanted to share our special day!! But there was a big factor our budget when i saw the place than had an incredible food tasting i thought this place wouldnt even be close to our budget well surprisingly it was!!! I couldnt believe it. It was almost too good to be true!! As a bride we want everything to be perfect!! We pay attention to every detail well soo does the staff at The Grand Marquis. My wedding day went on without a flaw! They went above and beyond from absolutely gorgeous new curtains for my ceremony to an Italian Icee cart for my guest at the end of the Wedding Night. It was the perfect touch to a hot july wedding!!! I could never repay the wonderful at the grand marquis its a day i will never forget and i owe it all to them thank you!!!
Our daughter just had her reception here this past Saturday evening. OMG it was phenomenal!!!! I cant begin to explain what a spectacular fairytale wedding they had!!! It surpassed all of our expectations!!! We had over 215 guests and many of them commented to us that this wedding was one of the BEST weddings they had ever been to! The cocktail hour was amazing!! Many people loved the lamb chops and the pumpkin ravioli! Our guests also raved about the delicious salad, salmon and the out of this world chateau Briand!!! The meat was so tender you could cut it with a fork!!! Everyone raved about the dinners!!!! I cant say enough about the fantastic staff at the Grand Marquis! Nertilla and Nicole were very good in the planning of our wedding! We were blessed with Wanda and Austin as our Captain and Maitre d!!! Wanda was so attentive to the Bride and Groom and both the Brides parents and the Grooms parents!!!! Wanda literally fed the bride so she would not spill anything on her beautiful gown!!! The entire group of servers went above and beyond!!! One of the highlights of the evening was the Venetian dessert extravaganza!!!! OMG they opened the doors and the Bride and Groom were holding sparklers!!!! They had everything there from cotton candy to waffles and ice cream on the Boardwalk station!!! Sorry this review is so long but I cant say enough about what an AMAZING wedding we had here at the Grand Marquis!!!! Thank you for making all of our dreams come true!!!!! BEST Venue ever!!!!
