Honestly I would never recommend this place. From the poor parking to the ill equipped coat room and topped off by the rudest manager I have ever met it was an experience I would soon like to forget. Cocktail hour was far too cramped and the food was fair at best. Not enough seating, warm soda, and the bar only had vodka with promises of a better bar upstairs which never came. They lock the doors too so dont try running out to your car for anything. Going up to the venue through a freezing cold steep stairway herded like cattle was not pleasant. The venue was poorly set up and you couldnt even see what you were eating let alone talk to people at your table. Dinner took 3 hours to be served and the poor servers (who were the only good part of this whole experience) had to jockey around awkward tables in the dark. When the food finally came it was cold and bland. They only turned some of the lights on 10 minutes AFTER dinner was served. We left after dinner but were told coffee wasnt served with any accoutrements. No cream and sugar. And that Decaf was an odd request at midnight. And to top it all off as we were leaving we were yelled at by the manager. One of the servers kindly offered my husband and I a to go box to take some dessert (again the servers were excellent). As we were about to take a piece of cheesecake the manager comes out and yells at us for taking a to go tin. He grabs the tin out of my husbands hand and says you cant do that. Are you serious?! We told the manager we were offered that tin. He didnt care and he made us feel like we were doing something wrong. No manager should do that his guests. None. Ever. But that kind of service is indicative of this entire experience. Lack luster and poor. We had to go into the coat room after that and had to retrieve our own coats which were all three on one wire hanger which was on the floor. If they ever expect better reviews from this point forward they better get it together. Get rid of managers who treat guests like garbage. Get better food. Get better organized. I was completely unimpressed.

Dave, Jay, I’d like to pass along my sincere thanks for making my birthday party a tremendous success! Your help leading up to the day was outstanding, you and your staff provided a seamless evening of hospitality that left all of my guests feeling well tended to and the food was beyond what I could have hoped for! Having attended countless business dinners and charity events throughout my career along with birthday parties, weddings and so on, I’m critical when it comes to occasions such as this (especially when it’s my own!). I always feel that the delicate part lies in providing the proper atmosphere and impeccable service while allowing guests to feel comfortable, not on the lookout for food or a server; as if they are the most important people in the room. Your staff did a remarkable job at all of this. The feedback I received from everyone the next day was that every time they turned around there was another server with another selection of hors doeuvres. My guests were floored by the quality and taste of every dish served. That’s typically unheard of. I couldn’t have been any happier! The atmosphere at Aurum is elegant and welcoming, simply beautiful. I will confidently refer Aurum to anyone looking for an event space! Kindest regards, Angela

Aurum is not only a great event space, its true experience! I cant even begin to describe how amazing it was working with Dave and Jay. They are more than "just a caterer." , they make you feel like family. The entire Aurum team took all the stress off my shoulders, not just the day of, but through the whole event planning process. The food was spectacular, both delicious AND beautiful to look at. The Aurum team really went above and beyond to deliver exactly what I wanted! My event has been over for a while, and we are still getting compliments about how delicious the food was ( be sure to ask for the duck!). From now on I will only recommend Aurum Catering and Events, they are best in the business!

What an incredible experience to find a Catering Hall that looked beautiful, felt like I was in a fine lounge with a relaxed atmosphere .The décor must be seen an felt with the look of modern as well as the old world charm ... the exterior displayed a welcoming walkway with professionally landscape... .Now the best part was the FOOD I thoroughly enjoyed the red source and the chicken..The meats were of a high quality.. The cheeses were also a Fine and imported..One of the things which was wonderful to see was the pride and I thoroughness the owners whom were on hand to over see everything...Cant wait to go back......

Xplosive Entertainment

LOVE THIS VENUE! As the in-house entertainment company, who travels throughout the state weekend after weekend, its a pleasure working at a modern and upscale venue with a sophisticated level of attention to detail. Since its grand opening, we have entertained at dozens of events within this space, and regardless of it being a wedding, bar/bat mitzvah, communion, or birthday, we have always seen incredible celebrations. Most importantly, we see and hear first hand guests rave about the atmosphere and cuisine!

Aurum is amazing. The passing items were so fun and tasted great. The skirt steak...OMG. Never had skirt steak like that. The ballroom was really cool... i felt like it was a throwback loft with modern amenities. Service was great, the staff was very nice, professional, and attentive. My favorite part of the night was the passed desserts. It came out with sparklers, and cool lights, passed around the room.... super fun.. Cant wait to go back again in June!!!!!!

This place is Amazing!! Freehold is a tough place to park, but they had an amazing valet set up in the front. the cool vibe you get as soon as you walk in to the blow you away ballroom.... NEVER would have expected to see such a room like that in NJ. The food was really good too. Had amazing sushi at cocktail, and the skirt steak my wife made me go back 3 times.

Great Food, Great Service. I would highly recommend Aurum to anyone. Dave & Jay did everything for us, made the night so simple. We really felt special when we came. The pricing was very reasonable, and the price WAS the price in the end. there was no nickel and diming, everything was included. We cant wait to have our next party in 2 years there.

Great place, I would highly recommend it. For all of the people who are giving bad reviews and making up stuff that isnt even true, you are just selfish and need to have your way. I have been to the place and I was treated very well. The manager is great and the owner is too. The food is amazing and the dessert was awesome Thank you

I have attended several events at Aurum and consistently can say the food and service have been exceptional. I strongly suggest anyone looking for a fun, modern, and upscale venue for a celebration should certainly check out this space!
