This is the second time Ive had a bad experience within 3 months. When it was Appletree we never had issues, Carmike bought it, and let it deteriorate, the rugs are a trip hazard, toilet seats broken, paper towel rolls not working, weak food selection and dirty smelling theater... BUT thats the least of the problems. In March, during one of the coldest weeks, Beauty and the Beast came out. Opening day my son and I went excitedly to the theater. Upon entering we noticed it was cold, but figured since it was early, and the first movie of the day the heat needed to catch up... this was not the case. About an hour into the movie and very uncomfortably cold, my son looked up and said he was freezing. I thought I was the only one. I then looked around and noticed people wearing coats, hats and gloves still. I went up front to ask if they could turn up the heat and let them know it was very cold back there. They said "Oh, no one told you the heater is broken in that theater?" I just stared a second before stating "No... why would you sell tickets on opening day, of beauty and the beast, a movie suitable for children no less, in a theater with no heat?!?" She started unprofessionally, loudly yelling across the concessions counter to the ticket window "You havent been telling them theater 10 has no heat??" Like.. what?! I left with my son. Tonight, after contacting AMC the first time, and getting two free tickets for the experience wed had, my husband and I were hoping for improvements since AMC had now owned the theater for a few months... we went to Guardians of the Galaxy 2. I asked, when told we were in theater 10, if the heat was working in there now and got laughter from the employee as they said "oh, haha, yeah." Halfway through the movie my son said his hand really hurt, I took him to the hallway to look at it. He had gotten it wedged between the seats and peeled skin back, causing it to bleed. Hes 7, bandaids make the world of difference. They make boo boos better. We went to get a bandaid, I waited patiently at the counter for the teenage boy to finish helping customers and said "My son cut himself on the seats, is there a bandaid in the first aid kit we could have please?" He said "I dont know if we have one, Ill ask upstairs. I think ones up there." (Which shocked me a bit, being in health care.. as they should be easily accessible and available to their employees) He called up to his manager who said "We cant give out bandaids." He seemed shocked and she came down, barely looking towards my direction to tell me "We were told we cant give them out." I stood there shocked again and said "When someone hurts themselves in your theater, you cant help stop their bleeding with a bandaid?!?" She said "Nope." And walked away making comments about how she was busy eating. The young boy, came over to where I was standing trying to console my son, and asked if he could help, stating he felt badly and wished there were something he could do. THAT was customer service at least. Some compassion. I told him I knew it wasnt his fault and appreciated his offer but that we were leaving. I hope AMC turns this theater around because I will not be going back until serious changes have been made. Derry will be getting our business. :( AMC replied quickly to my Facebook message a second time, and is looking into it... however, theyve had months to fix poor training, a dingy, and hazardous theater, and it seems all theyve done is put in new self service coke machines.

After spending $41 (including a $6 "surcharge") on 4 tickets we still had to go to the box office to retrieve our tickets, that no-one ever collected (we literally could have just walked in for free, which is the only way Ill go back to this theatre, for free) We arrived to one open concession stand and a line to the door (Sunday 6pm). I purchased a medium popcorn and medium fountain soda for $14, I was handed an empty cup and dry popcorn and was told the "self service butter" was around the corner, next to the SINGLE self service drink fountain. I waited at least 10 minutes for the 4 people in front of me to butter their popcorn at the SINGLE "self service butter station". I then waited more time to get my drink from the one drink fountain. Eventually I found that the machine had no ice at all. We found our seats and I was quite distracted by the odor I can only describe as stale cigarettes, my girlfriend then pointed out the dust on the curtains and how dingy the place looked. We watched our movie in uncomfortable seats with only 3 interruptions from staff walking in front of the screen. I hadnt been to this theatre since I was a kid but next time I will travel farther as to not give this place anymore of my money. 0-10, would not recommend.

When choosing seats we discovered empty liquor bottles, trash, soda cups, popcorn all over the floor. This theater appears as though people go there to do things other than watch movies. I took pictures and am sending them to the management. Sadly, I wouldn’t be surprised to find used condoms, or other paraphernalia laying around on the floors of this filthy theater. I spoke to an employee as we exited, but all she said was that they didn’t have an usher on duty, and that the manager was going in to clean the theater herself shortly. UPDATE: I reported this mess to the corporate offices. They apologized and sent two comp tickets. We went to see a movie at this theater very recently (3/20/16) and sat in the same seats. The area is now very clean, as was the entire theater.

Ive become spoiled with theaters with assigned seating, as the Londonderry 10 does not offer that. However, the theater has very comfortable and wide seating and is very clean. Lines can be significant at the small concession stand. The soft drinks are self serve, through one of the Coca Cola Freestyle machines. However, there is only one, and the line for that can be frustrating especially after the longer wait at concessions.

Seriously 30 full minutes of commercials and previews before Finding Dory. Trying to be loyal to hometown theater but this is unacceptable. Went to see Conjuring 2 at Flagship same week with 12 min previews and entrance and popcorn prices all cheaper. Carmike, please reevaluate your theater purpose preview length and pricing. Felt sorry for all with young kids waiting for Dory to come on.

My family has been going to this theater for years under two different managements. I find it absolutely TERRIBLE that you only play one movie on $5 Tuesdays. Why bother to even advertise it!!!!!!!!!! At least keep the $5 Tuesday considering you jacked up the prices on the concessions. Very disappointing AMC.

It has been almost 15 years since I went to this theater. It was quite nostalgic to see that nothing changed except for the entrance. It was like walking into a time warp. Very well preserved! Me and my best friend got to see Power Rangers together and were the only ones in the theater!!
