Good place for bowfishing gar. Has some carp too in the larger lake/flooded grassy areas. Stream/creeks hold mostly gar though. Ive seen a bowfin or two, but not many. Full of huge snappers too (those that are legal to harvest, as well as alligator snappers which are protected in MO).

For hunting this place is great, well maintained by conservation and hunters. If youre new to waterfowl hunting and wading you might not want to go out alone till you get the gist. I can guarantee you will almost always see birds here.

Very nice place the conservation put a Lotta work in preparing the crops for the dove season very Wil manged havent hunted duck up there I do know the do a lot of prepping for duck an geese

Marais Temps Claire Nature area is a great place to take a walk in a wetland area. There are lots of ducks and geese there. We found an Eagle nest this year.
