This is definitely an experience that I would recommend to everyone. Dont bother worrying about whether or not this is worth the money...it is! We were staying in Dubuque for the weekend in order to visit the Field of Dreams in nearby Dyersville. As it turned out, we had a couple of extra hours on hand and, after finding this SWAT river tour online in attractions, decided to give it a shot. So glad we did. John, the owner/operator, is very knowledgeable of the Mississippi and its history as well as the city of Dubuque and his narrated, rock music-accompanied river ride is as good a time as you can have there. While we thought that the local dog track that we also visited was a letdown, Johns speedboat was not. My sons said that getting your own headset to wear is the piece that puts it all together and I couldnt disagree. Be sure to call ahead and reserve a time..I witnessed people get turned away as he was fully booked for the weekend that I was there.

This was definitely a great experience! If you are in Dubuque and you only have time to do one thing, this would be it! What a rush! Also was filled with great information about the history of Dubuque. John was great and made it the best thing we had done while staying in Dubuque for a weekend! It was so much more fun than a lazy riverboat cruise. Thanks, John and we will see you on our next visit!

Yes, yes, yes! Worth every penny! The tour was close to an hour long. Professional, safe, informative, and exciting. I had never gone that fast in a boat before. The guide was fantastic. I felt completely safe, even at high speeds. He was very well versed in the history of the area. When he wasnt talking, he played THE BEST soundtrack ever! I would go back to Dubuque just to take this tour again.

The S.W.A.T. river tour in Dubuque is absolutely worth the time and Money. I have personally done this tour twice and enjoyed it just as much both times. The captain is very knowledgeable about Dubuque as well as the Mississippi River. Im looking forward to going back a third time.

This tour was great. The guide, John, knows the local history very well. When he demonstrated the capabilities of the jet boat was fantastic. Highly recommend.
