Golf Grips and Repair 2957 E. Chestnut Expy Springfield Mo, 65802 * I am posting this for a friend* Dont waste your time at this place unless you can handle poor customer service. I called Saturday morning before I drove across town to this place of business. I was interested in clubs, a new bag and some club repair. The voice mail stated they were unable to answer the phone " helping other customers". Upon my arrival I discover their closed. So i then called back and left a message stating if youre going be closed on Saturday and Sunday which is fine you should say that in your voice mail saying hours of operation.. I felt because I had drove that far only to find out their not open that they should apologize and maybe offer a discount on club repair or something. The man called back and acted like I asked for a new set of clubs and he said he drives 15 miles to work and that was supposed to make a difference to me. He also stated that he has been closed on Saturday and Sunday for 2 years and like I was at fault for not knowing this. I said I patronize businesses with good customer service and if its real good Ill recommend it to many other people. However, I felt this is not the place and he definitely lacked professionalism. When I mentioned the customer is always right no matter what, he replied back and said he wouldnt give me any discount on anything and said his dad was a PGA professional golfer and theres no profit to be made if he offered me something for my wasted drive. HMMM!! Take this review for what its worth. I dont have computer access at home, but after I got to work on Monday and looked it up it does show the working hours, but Is that my fault I dont have a computer at home. My point to him was put it on the voice mail, it seemed and he acted like to me he might or might not!! You might say went in one ear and out the other. He basically said it was my fault not his. Did he ever apologize, if you want to call acting like I was naive and should have known better for the past 2 years his hours an apology I guess so. They may do a great business, but they wont if they keep these kind of practices up for very long. He was just plain rude and tried to cut me off when i tried to explain my frustration about his voice mail. Again there is other club repair and golf equipment places in town "Golf Headquarters" for one. If he would have just called back and sincerely apologized and admitted he was in the wrong I might have considered of doing business there, but that was not the case! These are the facts! ~Bill Self

They have a Trackman! I was going to drive to Kansas City for a fitting until I was reminded that they have a trackman. I took my son and myself in for a fitting. It was a great experience. I ended up buying a set of clubs for my son. Ryan told me that hed "love to sell me a set of clubs, but my numbers looked great." I appreciate that honesty and integrity. I will be buying all my future clubs, grips, etc. from Grips Golf & Club Repair.

Yes, its your fault that you do not have a computer at home. This is an awesome business, and Ryan does an amazing job with clubs/club fitting. Also, Golf Headquarters doesnt do "club work" as you stated they do. You can get fitted for clubs there, but they cant work on clubs besides putting on a golf grip.
