They had open and league bowling so we tried to get one of their open lanes this afternoon and they just kept asking us if we knew anything about league bowling. Im not sure what that had to do with anything but they just kept saying it. I worked at a bowling alley for 5 years and was on several leagues so yes I do know about league bowling. They said we couldnt have a lane because league stated you had to have 2 lanes open for emergencies but they had 3 lanes open. They were so unbelievably rude. We ended up going to a place in Noth KC who welcimed us in and got us going right away. Shame on you Gladstone Bowl. We spent almost $300 at the other place (that also had a league going) on food and fun. The horrible people at Gladstone Bowl wouldnt even acknowledge us until I raised my voice. The league excusees was total bologna. We even called before to make sure we could bowl and tried to reserve a lane. They just didnt want to work tonight and were so crazy rude. They wouldnt even acknowledge us standing right at the front desk right where they were standing. My whole family of 10 was literally ignored and turned away.

Not a bad place to bowl. They have some good specials on some nights. The food isnt too bad and it fairly cheap. But the only complaints I have is the bartender isnt that friendly and the alcohol selection is low and expensive. I asked for a pitcher of beer (there was about 30 pitchers on their shelf) and they told me they dont do any pitchers. So I asked for a bucket and they wanted $20 For 6 beers. I can buy a 24pk for cheaper then that. Also the music isnt the best its very outdated and they dont play it very loud. I could barely hear it. (During Cosmic bowl). But like I said not a bad place to bowl. I would just recommend updating the entertainment.

Prices too high. Manager/head cashier? was rude, smoking supposed to be ok after five pm but we werent allowed to go in with cigarettes at 6 because of a state competition. Im not sure why that was relevant. My kids sat at a table with a bunch of shirts on it while we checked prices, they didnt touch them but the guy was giving them the evil eye. I mean the really evil eye. We decided to leave and wont be back. I suggest AMF in NKC, we went there and were treated like humans even though we werent in a league.

The only bowling alley that isnt completely reserved almost every night. Really, really disgusting amount of smokers inside the facility. It feels as though you are inhaling 50% oxygen, 50% second hand smoke. There is a lack of organization and good bowling balls. The owner who held political office pulled some strings to make his bowling alley the only inside smoking area in the general metropolitan area. They would get so much more business if they didnt rely on their regular smoker customers.

This is the WORST place! My boyfriend had never been bowling before and I have only been once. We simply asked to get the bumpers up so we could actually play without getting a gutter ball each time. The man told us we were too big for bumpers and we would break them. And not only did he tell us that but he was so rude to us and yelling at me like I was a delinquent. We asked for a refund and he only gave us half of what we paid. Awful service, dont even waste your time.

6:45 on a Saturday... called earlier in the day and they said open bowling 5-8:30pm. Got there with my family and they had 5 open lanes. When asked they told us a 45 minute wait and then wed only get to bowl one game. When asked about the open lanes they replied the league bowlers prefer at least a two lane separation. And then made to feel dumb by being asked if wed ever bowled before. Fail Gladstone Bowl

Food and drinks are great prices. Best price for a game are on Tuesdays: penny-a-pin night. Usually rounds out to $4 for a couple games. Although thats also league night, which doesnt end until 9:30. So keep that in mind if going on a Tuesday. Also, galactic bowl is a fun night on Fridays. Fun blacklights and music.

This is the second summer ive bought a family bowling pass, and I am so disappointed. Customer service sucks, bartender was rude. Employees made us feel like we were an inconvenience & it felt like we were being rushed off our lane. Will be looking for a friendlier place for my family to bowl.

Good lanes. But really oily. Decent prices too. But really? Indoor smoking after 5 pm? In a family venue? And half the people around us smoking look like theyre under 18. More than likely will never bring the kids back here. More than likely wont be back either. At least not after 5 pm.

It is a great place to go on sunday mornings because its a deal for the steal! $1.00 games and nice staff but one rudely comes up and picks your food if you not eating it and throws it in the trash but ehh he is a minor part. Still GREAT BOWLING!

Hands down, my favorite place to bowl in KC. Its really affordable to bowl for a game or two and they can usually squeeze you in (unless its a league night). Their food is good and their drinks are affordable.

Great place to bowl. They only had one lane available when we arrived but they moved us two lanes that opened up before we started bowling. We have bowled here as a family with young kids for years.

Tried to come bowl two nights in a row, was turned away because of league until closing time each night. Several lanes were open, many league players leaving. Dont come here if you want to bowl.

Very friendly employees. Shoes and balls available for purchase. They have a pro shop to drill balls and supplies. Hot food, breakfast and menu at decent prices. Good programs for families.

Great bowling alley I live 2 minutes away from Retro Bowl in Liberty and will be taking the 10-15 min drive to Bowl at Gladestone. Plus having Drews Pro Shop on Site makes a big difference!

Great local bowling alley. They allow smoking which kind of sucks for me. The food is cheap and so is the fun. It is worth the trip if you havent bowled in a long time.

Not a bad place to bowl..not super impressed with customer service. The gal at the pay counter was great, but other staff made me feel like I was inconveniencing them.

My grandsons bowl in a league here. Ive always liked this place. The staff are easy to get along with and theres plenty of spectator seating.
