I cannot recommend them highly enough! My husband and I hosted our wedding reception with them. Their staff was extemely helpful, laid-back, and polite. They were clear and upfront about their very fair prices, and didnt try to gouge us with hidden fees and add-ons like many of the reception sites. The staff on the boat itself were courteous, and the food was very good, far better than we expected for a buffet-style service. We brought our own cake and cupcakes on, and they did not charge us an additional fee, and in fact seemed shocked that other venues would nickle-and-dime a wedding party like that. We had the casino package on the boat instead of the dance floor, and I highly recommend it. The staff at the tables was good at getting people involved and teaching people as they went. It was also the perfect icebreaker for a large group of people to get to know eachother and get talking....in fact, theyre still talking, and raving about the reception. Thank you so much for the perfect location.

We enjoyed a Lunch and Lock Cruise last weekend to celebrate our 8th anniversary. The crew was lovely, the food was better than expected, and the boat was old but well loved. The whole experience would have been perfect if it werent for Padlefords smoking policy. They allow smoking in all outdoor areas of the boat! We could not believe it, it was awful! There were pregnant women, children, and elderly with oxygen tanks all having to quietly choke to death while the chain smoking fools basically ruined it for everyone. If you want to enjoy any time on the deck, and of course you do because you want to get your moneys worth, then be prepared to feel like your sucking an exhaust pipe. Or better yet find another cruise company that does not allow this vial act on their ships. At least until Padleford changes their extremely outdated smoking policy.

The Padelford Packet company offers a number of sightseeing and entertainment cruises on the Mississippi River. I have taken the sightseeing cruise a number of times, and enjoyed it each time. The top deck is open and the lower deck is closed, so it can be enjoyed no matter what the weather. We see eagles on nearly every cruise, as well as egrets, ducks and other risidents of the river. The sightseeing cruises last 90 minutes and leave daily at noon and 2:30. A taped narration shares historical information and anecdotes. There is a full bar onboard, however food choices on the sightseeing cruises are limited to hot dogs, popcorn and other snacks. Evening and weekend cruises offer more food choices. Mondays offer a special fare of $8.00 per passenger. This cruise is well worth your time and money.

my friend and I traveled to the Padelfordl company expecting a great and peaceful ride down the river but was greeted with about one hundred kids ranging from ages 5 to maybe 10 they were noisey loud and definitely did not want to be there we could not hear the guide enjoy the ride or have peace ND QUIET i THINK THE COMPANY COULD HAVE scheduled them by themselves as I am sure they got a group rate I was very disappointed with the whole journey next time when I see that many loud mouthed kids I will ask for a refund someone should have known better. cost us a $50..00 taxi ride our ticket and a headache

I went on the Oktoberfest cruise with my family and we thought it was excellent value for the money. There was no way they were making money off the beer drinks, as buying 4 local microbrews for $11 is pretty much unheard of (it was 2 for 1s). The food was excellent, but not the best part. Helga was the best part. Hopefully she is a part of every cruise, even though we was playing an important role in this German theme cruise, leading the game of hammerschlagen. She had such awesome energy and was super fun to be around. Padelford, I hope you pay her well, as she really made the trip for us. (:

My wife and I had such a pleasant and relaxing experience tonight. We had the late night Beer and Blues Cruise. The music was terrific and although we are not beer drinkers, the bar was open and generous! We highly recommend this cruise for anyone who needs to kick back, relax and see the great St. Paul skyline at night while enjoying a drink and some really good music. Dont miss this wonderful opportunity.

Took my 73-y.o. mother whos visiting from out of town on the Chefs Club (Ireland) cruise. Excellent food; superb customer service; friendly, courteous, and professional crew. Easy and accessible parking even with the Irish Festival going on. We were able to bring our dinner on the upper deck so had a great view of the river while eating. Highly recommended.

Had a GREAT time with family and friends on the Padelford on a rainy Saturday in July. In spite of the rain - the seats were clean and dry which the staff helped with. We really enjoyed the running commentary on all the sites as we road along the river. We even got to see a wonderful bald eagle!

There are two bars to sell concessions. They choose to only have one open so the line is long the entire ride. The front doors slam loudly every time they close. How much us a door closer? Do the Monday $10 special, thats all its really worth.

Had such a great time on the Margarita Cruise! It was a fun way to celebrate a family members birthday. The staff was great - helpful and friendly. I will absolutely recommend the cruise to friends (including you...the person reading this review)!

Would have been a nice relaxing tour,but there were so many kids from summer schools screaming and running all over. It made it hard to enjoy . Dont think Id go again,unless they had one for adults only.

Great prices for an hour+l lesure boat ride. Narrated by local Don Shelby which is informative and intermittent without being overbearing. It is an excellent way to spend the afternoon with your family.
