Understand now why this place was so empty. Ordered an app. Server asked if I wanted to add the prosciutto to it. In my normal vegetarian response, I vehemently shook my head and verbally said no. To my surprise, when the order comes out, I see the layer of meat added to the order. I, politely, let the server know, "Sorry, I didnt realize meat was going to be added to this." She apologized and took it away. Not even a minute later, she returned with the "meatless" plate. I knew the timing was suspect, but I like to trust people and tried to convince myself they didnt just take the meat off the same order. Unfortunately, a stomach that hasnt had meat (or its juices) in over a decade cant be convinced as easily. Started feeling nauseous after eating the second one. Picked up the third, then saw a huge clump of meat still left on it. Just WTF? Thats so not cool. I wasnt being picky. It actually affects my health. Would be one star based off that experience and the mediocre food reports from pals, but the beer was pretty good, so it gets an extra star. Next time will just stick to Town Hall Brewery and do our bowling elsewhere... :/

My wife and I ate here last night to watch the Monday Night Football game. While obviously not a "sports bar", it was a fantastic place to enjoy the game. The food was fantastic! We had the Chipotle Buffalo wings and one of the flatbread pizzas. This was plenty of food for the two of us. These are some of the best wings Ive had in the Twin Cities and I try to have them everywhere that offers them. They were crispy, meaty, and the sauce was excellent! My wife loved the Bleu Cheese. We tried the beer brewed on site, Masala Mama IPA and Perfect Strike Lager. Both were good, but not the best brewpub brews Ive had locally. The "guest" tap selection was excellent though and had one of my favorites, Stone Enjoy By IPA. The service was excellent! Our server had a ton of tables keeping him busy, but we were never without service when we needed it. Quick, friendly, and non-intrusive. Does it get any better than that? We did not get a chance to try out the bowling, but have every intention of coming back with friends and/or family to make a night out of it. Give these guys a shot!

I have a love-hate relationship with this place. On the one hand the food is good and the atmosphere is nice. I also like the location. On the other hand the staff can be VERY SNOOTY. They seem excessively proud of the place, like there is nothing else like it. Ive watched the bartender go after mildly tipsy people because he was in a bad mood. One time I was in there and was told that I couldnt watch the Wild playoff game on the television near the lanes. Nobody else was there watching this movie that was on, just me. The waitress even asked the manager who informed her "No." She then proudly informed me that they will put the VIkings game on when they play. I told her that I didnt give a damn about the Vikings and that I wanted my bill. So this is the type of B.S. you put up with when you go there. You just never know.

I live within walking distance and thought I would try this place again after being disappointed the third time in the 3-4 years since they opened. I sat at the bar at ~9:00 PM Easter Sunday. It was pretty dead but the bartender had a great conversation with the guy next to me about his band, and where they played, and where the bartender had been, and why he didnt make it to the last show before he had time to give me a beer list. I contemplated why there are lights hanging directly in the view of the TVs behind the bar while I waited a few minutes for the bartender to realize my beer was empty. After my second I asked for my bill. He had time to close out two other people, make a few cocktails, and chit chat, but he still stood around looking at the ceiling before he swiped my card 15 minutes after I finished my beer.

There is a little gem in the Keewaydin neighborhood called Town Hall Lanes. One wouldnt think a bowling alley/pub would have the best soups in the area, but they do. Chef Dillon is a soup artist. The tomato soup, red roasted pepper soup, and fresh herb potato and ham (ingredients that come out of the garden in back) are outstanding. Oh and I dont know the chef, I asked my waiter for his name so I could write this review. Go the the Town Hall Lanes, bowl a game, enjoy a house brew, enjoy the pretty decor and have a bowl of soup.

Hey! I would suggest going to this place every week. Like I do! Staff is great, apps are good (HAVE THE DRY RUB WINGS!!! DO IT NOW!) and the prices are in line with any other trendy Minneapolis hot spot. Good cider and craft beer options for those not into the house beers (although how anyone wouldnt like super strike is beyond me. Its amazeballs) What else? You can bowl there! So thats good right? Its a nice alley, not a crappy "ironic" bowling alley ;) Be well.

People who work there do not seem happy. Food is always disappointing and overpriced. The walleye is decent otherwise stick to the flatbreads. Bowling is great and fairly priced. 2 stars for unfreindly staff. Feels like an applebees was taken over by hipsters. Not a place for those who like to mingle. Its just a sad place. If you go there happy you will leave sad. If you go there sad you wont ever come back because you will be to depressed to ever go out again.

We rented the lounge here for my daughters birthday with twenty plus people and had the best time. We had exceptional service and it was such a fun venue to celebrate. They took great care of us from start to finish, including getting us booked last minute as we had to change the location from a park to somewhere indoors due to bad weather. The staff is awesome, the food was great - my favorite was the pretzel - and everyone found a beer to their liking.

Went for the beer and it was incredibly good. Im a big fan of any place I can get a dark beer from (porter or stout) and to have options is even more exciting. Beer really was good. Unfortunately didnt have time to bowl, but Im sure that would have been a great time. Service was good. Nothing I could complain about. 5 stars based on the atmosphere and the good beer. I have not eaten here so unable to comment on food!

I have visited Town Hall on a few occasions and each time have been lucky enough to have Samantha as my server. Although the food can be hit or miss, Samantha is extremely knowledgeable about all of the beer options available and always very helpful in making pairings with the food. She is always eager to help and is great. Also, the bowling alley is very fun and I have never had to wait long to use it!

This place gave me very bad customer service. I talked to the so called manager who did not let me speak at all. Cut me off many times. Upon sending a email to do a reservation days in advance the manager seemed to be to busy to respond. Then when calling she picked up as if I was bothering her. Warning if you are looking for a place with good customer service I would avoid this place at all cost.
