My husband and I went out on a date for the Monday burger deal. The burgers we had were excellent, but there are a few reasons that I ranked the food as good. First, I substituted my fries for onion rings, thinking the difference would be $2 or so because that is the difference in price for them on the small plates menu, but it came to be an extra $5, so be aware. Next, do not be fooled by the "Number 4" pale ale and light - they are just Coors with a different label to they can charge more. And this is not from guessing, I asked the waitress thinking that this restaurant had its own microbrew. For the decor catagorie - they need to fix the connection to their TVs because the picture on all was fuzzy and low quality. Overall - two burgers, one with onion rings, and three beers came to around $45. Next time we are in town we will probably make a trip back, but stick to happy hour and try another day,

Good for college students! Awesome atmosphere. I tried their Weekender special, which includes a drink of either a bloody mary or a mimosa and the Big 4 breakfast (2 eggs, sausage or bacon, breakfast potatoes, and white or wheat toast). I ordered mine with a bloody and the toppings on the bloody mary were sufficient, nothing too spectacular. It came with a large shrimp which was pleasant but it didnt have a lot of flavor. The bloody itself didnt have much seasoning. Just tasted like tomato juice. Then the breakfast food came and it tasted like something out of an inexpensive buffet line. I understand that this is a college town and the meal (with tax) came to $12.48 so for that price it was quite good. I guess I assume any meal, any price should always be delicious though and this was just blah. I would definitely be open to coming back again and trying something else on the menu.

We drove down from the cities to celebrate my brothers birthday. Our waitress told us about a gift card special if you bought $100 you got and extra $60. We said we wanted to do it and she came back and said sorry it actually ended yesterday. The service was incredibly slow today which wouldnt have been bad except the waitress never checked in during the wait time. The food was delicious when it arrived. At the end, I asked if they did anything for birthdays and the waitress said dessert. My brother picked a dessert and she picked up the tab and said she would need to add it to the bill despite telling us a few minutes before they did birthday desserts. I told a manager about the issues on the way out and all she said was that she would talk to her about making sure she knows the specials. They should have honored what we were told or at least offered something to make up for it.

Finally a place in Mankato that isnt another crappy chain resturant. Had the Venison Tenderloin which was flavorful and cooked perfectly. Others had Pollack fish sandwhich which was huge and Yankee pot pie. Also tried the "Number Four Ale" which is brewed by Shells but was a bit bland (but better than Miller Lite or something similar). Hate to say it but the place will probably be closed in a few months. People in Mankato are too afraid to try something new and only want to go to a resturant where you get obsene amounts of food for cheap (in referance to the comment about going to McDonalds after eating here). That being said please go and try it, and try something on the menu that youve never had before.

My parents invited me to dinner at this restaurant last night. I told the server I was allergic to peanuts and spinach. She was kind about it. I order and sandwich and upgraded to fries instead of chips. She came back a few minutes later and told me that she couldnt get me fries, because they are cooked in peanut oil. I thanked her and told her chips would be great, as long as they werent also cooked in peanut oil. I am so grateful she cared and took that little effort to make sure my food was safe for me to eat. It saved me a ton of pain! And she was also so nice and compassionate about it, too. Many people dont realize how important things like this are!

I and about 80 others live across the street from them. They forget their outdoor audio on more then not after closing, creating quite a noise disturbance through out the night into the next day, and so on. They have been talked to by myself, others, as well as the police about these matters. Upon the next occurrence, I will be filing a report and taking them to court for this noise disturbance. I give them one star because its the only chance they have left. As far as the food goes, I wouldnt know, as if they cannot do something as simple as this, they sure cannot be putting to much effort into their food preparation as well.

Weve eaten here a dozen times, and have only had good experiences! Generally when we go, we get appetizers and dessert. Weve tried everything on their appetizer menu, and have never been disappointed. It is pricey, but the food is unique. Everything they serve has their own signature flavor youre not going to taste anywhere else. My favorite dessert is Creme Brulee Sampler. Yum. The service is slowish, and they dont bug you a lot, (which may turn some off) but when Im on a date night with my hubby, I really dont want someone butting in every 5 minutes, and hurrying us out the door as soon as my fork hits the table.

I was in Mankato ,MN on a business trip and was invited for a company dinner here. The moment we walked in we were greeted by the hostess and seated immediately. Our server was very attentive and did not rush our service at all. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection. I must say that I have not had food this good in a long time. Also the drinks are made well and the bar service is great. So good that we went back the next evening. This is definitely a go to restaurant if your looking for great food/drinks. I will be back if ever in the Mankato area again. Thanks for the great service.

My wife, daughter and I went there for the first time Friday night. Doubt well be back. The atmosphere showed promise but then the food showed up. I had a $28 fish entree that I could have boiled at home. The ladys ordered different chicken sandwiches. One of which featured DRY, DRY, DRY chicken. Doesnt a competent chef know what is leaving their kitchen? The other chicken sandwich was mediocre at best. Very disappointing experience. You can create all the atmosphere in the world, but if the food isnt right...........

Great food and drinks. Great atmosphere for friends catching up, first date, or casual business meeting. Food is pricy but such is expected with the menu offerings. Great spot to take visitors to Mankato. Would recommend this location for breakfast and brunch. Service was friendly. Background music fun and mellow. This is a place to eat if you have time to to kill without expecting fast food service. This is a true dine in restaurant. Will return when I come back to town.
