I have been making the trip to this course from St. Paul for years ever since my grandfather was still around to play. It was one of his favorite courses in the area not only for the course quality, but for the rates and level of difficulty. Recently I have been unimpressed. They advertise twilight rates after 2pm. Once finished with our round, I went into the club house to see about playing a few more holes before dark. After being given the go ahead, we were then approached by the older gentleman I had just talked to in the club house while getting ready to tee off on hole one. He demanded that every player pay an additional $20 to play anymore golf. Mind you, this is minutes after talking to him about playing more. The most recent situation will detour me from playing here anymore. While playing our round, the cart girl (who was an older gentlemen) approached our group and immediately scolded us for having a cooler that he thought we had brought onto the course. This is frowned upon because it takes sales away from the course. We did not have any such cooler. We had a few towels and head covers in the small storage area behind the seats. We informed him that we did not have any cooler. The beverage guy then followed us around the rest of the front nine for what appeared to be trying to catch us using this so called cooler that we had. He would linger and watch us while not once asking if we would like any beverages he was selling. Overall, not a pleasant experience and the staff was very unfriendly. A word of advise. If you are looking to make more money at your golf course: give your course a face lift and charge new reasonable rates be friendly and inviting. Hostility towards paying customers is a no no honor your twilight rates for what they are. Twilight rates! Get a cart girl! No one wants to buy beverages from an older grumpy guy.

Played my first round here yesterday. It is a nice course for the money but nothing to get too excited about. The greens are generally flat and boring with 2 exceptions. The course itself is in good condition. Others have complained of elevation changes but there isnt really much to complain about there. As to comparisons to other courses, Keller is hands over fist a better course on all scores. The price point is what makes people come to this course.

I have been golfing at Bellwood Oaks Golf Club for 15+ years. Without a doubt, this is one of the best courses for the money you will ever play. The tee boxes are always in great shape, the greens role pure and the landscape of the course is beautiful. You will not be disappointed .

Why does everybody like this place so much it sucks all the greens are little circular flat greens with no creativity to them at all, its dry, way to many elevation changes and very gimicky Id never come again hidden greens next door to this place is a far better course

Its a pleasant surprise every time I make the trip to Bellwood Oaks! I hadnt played there in a few years and had forgotten about the great course conditions and welcome feeling I got as soon as I walked in the doors. Really nice course layout and a great value.

Great course. Great service from the front door back to the way out of the parking lot. Challenge for any handicap. Ive played courses that cost way more and wasnt as nice. Green fees are cheap for the guality of the course. ABSOLUTE MUST PLAY!!!

I dont know why anyone would drive all the way down there for this course. The only reason it exists is because of a family feud. If you want to play in a cow pasture, find one closer to home

Course is in great shape! Awesome value. Jennifer in club house was so accommodating. She gave my wife a coat to use to keep warm in the cart, since it was a little chilly.

The price is very reasonable. The course is always in great shape and the rough is cut short enough so you can actually find your ball.
