First of all, this place rocks. We love hanging out here any time of year. The staff is friendly, service is top-notch, pizzas are killer, and the beer pretty stellar. The proprietors have done a bang-up job of turning The Filling Station into more than just a pizza & brew pub - its a community hangout. But did you know, you can also buy kegs from them for parties & events? Yeah. You can. Then I bet you didnt know that the pricing is very reasonable. Well, it is. We just ordered their beer for our wedding, and in addition to being satisfied with the product quality, we were blown away by their superior service on this end of the business. Great job guys! Thanks for being a part of our "special day"! (PS - how many synonyms can you spot?)

I love how fast and friendly the counter service is. Wonderful atmosphere, food, and beer. Food is fast, 5-10 minutes for salads even when they are slammed, and they always let you know with an accurate time of arrival if the pizza will be more than 15 minutes. Top 3 best breweries in the area. Great outdoor seating, live music, and view in the summer. The old train station gives great protection from the sun and rain. A must-visit place in Traverse City!

So far the worst part of our visit in Traverse city. Half the restaurant was " reserved", and they wanted us to sit at a high top with a 2 year old. Not happening. Waited forever to get our food. No one ever came to check on us to see how we were doing. Second part of our order never came. To top it off, the pizza isnt that good. Its small and underwhelming. Pedestrian at best. Not worth $15 for a 12 inch pizza.

Fun restaurant in an old train station. I samples a few of their different pizzas. All thin crust and quite delicious. I also had a sample of their Oktoberfest beer, which was also quite good. This is a great place for a casual dinner. There is plenty of room inside, and on nice days there is seating outside on the old station platform. I recommend stopping by and giving it a try if youre in the area.

Im really enjoying this place. Second time we went, and just as good as the first time! Service is fast and beer is good! Nice casual atmosphere with ordering at the bar, pub style. They serve very good salads and pizza! They also have a small kids menu and are pretty family friendly. I say check them out. You wont be disappointed if you enjoy a good thin crust pizza and some craft beer.

The staff was very welcoming. The environment is unique as this seems to be an old railroad station converted into a brewery, with 17 styles on tap, when we visited. They also serve a variety of unique delicious wood-fired flat bread pizzas! We tried the BLT pizza, and it was excellent! Note: you can split a pizza, meaning order two different ones on the same flat bread!

Love this place. Location is fantastic! Plenty of outdoor seating, and the kids enjoy playing on the unused tracks. Ive even seen people bring their dogs. Pizza is great, (the Wolverine is our favorite). Ordering your beer is a little different; ordering is done inside at their counter/bar. One of my favorite places, in summer and winter.

I wasnt a fan of the pizza I ordered, it was way too spicy to enjoy and it took a very, very long to time to get the pizza... Overpriced... But, you can see why it takes so long if you watch them make the pizza. The beer is excellent though and I loved the the artwork they had of all the local breweries. Staff was friendly too.

We had salad, pizza and a beer sampler, and loved all of it! My hubby hates thin crust pizza but loved theirs, to help you understand how good this was. The service was friendly and informative. The kitchen was closing when we arrived but they stayed open a little later for us...what else can you ask for!

Fantastic beer and pizza. Especially love the outdoor seating right next to the tracks. The staff is very friendly and fun. Every time we have been there one of the owners has been there which makes you feel like their care about the establishment. Cant say enough good things about the Filling Station!

Ales on the rails! Love this place. Salads are huge and fairly priced. Very fresh produce and never disappointing. Flatbread selection is great. Beer is very good! Be sure to check it out - its one of the ten places I recommend visitors to the area to check out for food and local craft brew.

From the mouth of my 6yr old girl. As she sits there with an arm on the chair, and the other with her black cherry soda in her hand. "I ate four pieces, that was the best EVER." Enough said about the pizza. Really good. Beer was good. Had to get a growler for the collection.

Seems like a good place. A limited menu and several of the brews were out when we visited, but what the menu has, seems to be done well. We couldnt decide between two pizzas, so they proactively offered to go half and half with a single pizza. Not much for a kids menu.

I went here as the last stop on the Ale Trail and was quite surprised at how great it was. Not only did one of the owners offer us food after the kitchen closed, but the staff that were here were amazing! Go here or you suck. 11/5 - would make bartender cry again!

The Filling Station is easily in my top 5 of restaurants in the Grand Traverse area. I always receive exceptional service, the food is always great, and the beer is always amazing. Please, do yourself a favor and treat yourself to The Filling Station.

Everything about this place is great - the pizza, the beers, the location, the service, the merch, the outdoor seating, ...everything. Seriously glad that I stopped here during my trip to Michigan. I will recommend this place to anyone and everyone

Best Caesar salad I have ever had! The dressing is so light but very flavorful. My wife and I ordered the Wolverine Pizza, great choice! Beer was great and service was excellent. We will definitely be coming back the next time we are in town.

Eh was just so-so. Hardly any choices of beer were left on the menu. Disappointed that they dont even have a liquor license so they can actually act like a real restaurant. Pizza & salad was ok but so much like every other eatery out there!

Awesome microbrew and pizza spot. Location is great and rarely does it feel overly crowded due to the outside seating. They frequently have great live music too. If youre not sure which pizza to start with, go for the Spartan.

The staff at this brewery were amazing! They were swamped but we didnt wait to be greeted or served because they just kept things rolling. They know their beer and can quickly lead you to what you would like. Great place!

I can only comment on the food since I dont drink. Good service and good food. Their outdoor eating area is really nice in the summer. There even a couple little sandboxes for kids to play in while you wait for your food.

Fresh made mexican food! Great tacos. We had one beef and two chicken. Also had chips and salsa (a salsa verde!) also excellent. Very busy place! Check it out. Menu isnt huge, but it doesnt have to be here, good choices.
