The Loft was an absolute perfect place for our 20th anniversary celebration! We had a party for about 100 people with a band followed by a DJ. The DJ was selected by the Loft and he was fantastic. We also had a photo booth from a local company that added some extra fun. The party was catered (banquet style) and we had a cake very similar to a wedding reception. Scott from the Loft was extremely helpful in making sure everything was planned well. During the party the transition from pre-party mingling to dinner to the band and finally the DJ was seamless thanks to Shane, Mike and Lucas. The bartenders were friendly and engaging and made great drinks. I could put exclamation points at the end of every one of these sentences we were so pleased. It was an epic celebration that we will never forget! Thanks to everyone at the Loft.

Worst venue Ive ever been too. I got accused of having drugs on me by the manager, whom was obviously on drugs himself. After telling a few bad eggs that it just was not okay to partake in illegal substances within the toilet of this venue. I was then accused by the manager/owner (Im not sure) but His very intensive, angry, sweaty and closed pupil persona gave more than enough away that he was partaking himself. Ive come to this conclusion because I had nothing on me what so ever. This person picked me out of a crouwd because I was voicing my own opinion AGAINST the use of drugs. Most unprofessional venue Ive ever been too. Im so disappointed by the service I received by this bar. Not worth your dollar, not worth the fact that they can call you a criminal and break the law themselves.

Im usually really generous when it comes to rating places. And Im being generous with 2 stars. The Loft has consistently had rude staff(mostly just bouncers/door people, not bartenders), a TERRIBLE sound guy, and the management pulls some pretty shady moves. Was there for a concert advertised as 10$ or 12$ on the Day of the Show. When they realized the band was more popular than they anticipated it, they raised the prices WHILE people were standing in line. The only good part about this place is it is one of the only venues in Lansing that can hold a decent amount of people, and they do bring in some decent bands. I wish they had more competition... this place would be put this place out of business immediately. Oh, and as others have said this place is extremely loud.

Good bands but the soundman is deaf and has it too loud. The other girl next to me is plugging her ears. I do on and off. The only reason I dont leave is Im stubborn and want to do something on Friday night. Showed this to my girl and she agrees. The bar tender and I communicated with fingers, nods, pointing and screaming.

The stairs into the venue are a pain; I wish there was an easier public entrance. Ive heard of some people having issues with booking here. The table seating is nice and the sound and lighting are always good.

Fun place! Couldnt believe they charged my friend $ .50 for a ice water but then didnt charge me for mine?? They shouldnt charge for a ice water exspecially when its for the sober driver!!
