My friend and I had been to Live at PJs before and had a blast with a few other girlfriends. There is a medium sized dancefloor and great music. A few weeks ago, my friend and I returned to Live, sure that we would enjoy ourselves again. It was a Saturday night and the live band had just started packing up as we were arriving. Following the signs for the "mandatory coat check", we quickly made our way upstairs. There was no attendant in the coat room. Ok, no biggie. After asking some of the staff, we learned that it was possible that they just werent checking coats that night. It was all fine and dandy until, with the bar filling up, they opened the coat check and were enforcing the mandatory rule. Fine. The coats got checked. The night went on. My friend was drinking, making a couple of trips to the bar. I had only gotten a cup of water when we first got there, before the bar was crowded. I was the DD and I take my job seriously. After a couple of hours of dancing, my friend and I were parched so we hit the bar. We waited in line for 15 minutes, clearly being ignored and passed over for people who had approached the bar well after us. When the young, male bartender finally got to us, we just asked for water (despite the fact that some guys in line had asked to buy us drinks). The bartender came back (5 mins later) with 2 cups of ice and told us to "go upstairs to the bathroom to get water" and quickly moved on to the next customer. WTF?! I took my hand out of my clutch and off of the money for the tip I was about to leave to process what had just happened. After it sank in that we had really just been told to get water from a bathroom tap, I left the cup of ice on the bar and walked away. Ive been a waitress at a popular, very busy establishment. I know how it feels to have a full table of people order 5 glasses of water and 1 beer. I also know how it feels to have someone seated at the bar (and therefore, not my territory) order a glass of water and tip me $20 for getting the water and another $20 for the straw. NEVER, and I mean never have I ever thought to send a customer to a BATHROOM to fetch their own water. I feel disrespected and mildly humiliated. Should I choose to return to Live, I should hope that the staff will have gotten their respective acts together.

Im giving them a couple of extra stars because theyre awesome enough to host Nerd Nite, and since Im not their usual clientele the rest of the month. That said, as a bar, its terrible. Lets start with their beer selection. Its 100% bottles and cans of big macro junk. Its 2014, and they dont have a single craft beer available in the place. They had a few decent bottles of liquor, so I decided to go with a whiskey sour instead. Suspicion confirmed: a shot of whiskey, topped with sour mix that isnt sour out of the soda gun. Gross, ok, next drink lets be safe, a scotch on the rocks. Should have done it neat, they filled the whole glass up with tiny ice cubes that diluted it before I ever had a taste. As I ordered, I overheard someone beside me reminding the bartender that their drink was supposed to have bitters in it. "Hmm, I dont see any here, they must have moved that downstairs..." Speaking of which. The sting of this was worse knowing that downstairs, from the same owners, is whats probably the finest cocktail bar in the region - The Last Word. Im not asking for much. Keep a stock of some Two Hearted or Founders Porter or something. Anything.

This place had managed to win the "Slowest bar on earth" prize numerous times, service is very slow and inefficient , I literally had to wait more than half an hour at the bar and was put out of my misery by a friend who gave me one of his beers, otherwise I would have still been waiting. Ventilation is poor and so is the places floor plan. Bottom line - go to the nearby Cavern, Necto or Ricks!

2014 - my daughter likes the place. How about explaining it here and putting something up on your website that gives clear information about the parking situation. Its not clear only because theres nothing said about it. Thanks

Nice club with a pretty good atmosphere. Its not a huge venue but comfortable enough to get around. On Friday the DJ plays really good top 40 music that people can dance to. The crowd is normally in their mid to late twenties.

Always have an awesome experience at LIVE. They have a big dance floor (usually packed) and the DJs are always killing it. Its the go-to spot after bar hopping on the weekends. Plus theyre always so damn friendly!

Was pleased with such an awesome bar staff. Could not decide what to order and the bartender the night I was there came up with someone that was absolutely delicious. Great atmosphere, clean and presentable club.

Bouncer was rude to my husband and was confrontational. When paying for cover the bouncer was rude and condescending so we left and went to other bar. Not worth the wait and not a fun atmosphere, very rude staff.

Dance floor was nice, yet the bartenders and bouncers were a little rude. Saw multiple people have various issues throughout the night. Drinks were pricey and werent particularly good.

Had a great time. Ramsey was one of the best bartenders Ive ever had take care of me. I told him what I was in the mood for and his creativity took over. Hes a magician.

Fantastic dance floor, hot sweaty beats and DJs mix like their lives depended on it. Bottle service rocks and VIP Areas make this just an awesome experience.

Great local venue. They have a variety of events throughout the month. Microbrew selection is a little weak though.

If I were younger, I would give it more stars, but the atmosphere is obviously for 20 somethings.
