This was my familys first time going here. We bought tickets for a Thomas the Train event called "Day out with Thomas." We rode the train for about 45 minutes and then entered into the Village. There was a lot of fun activities and of course lots of Thomas the Train stuff everywhere to play with and buy. In the back of the village, there was an amusement park with rides-tickets were cheap and worth the $. Also had pigs, goats and llamas to look at. Overall, the experience was great and one my family and I will remember for years to come! I would definitely recommend this place for a fun family filled day!! Will be going back again!!

Went there with a group on Sunday, July 19, 2015. Everyone was amazed at the beautiful gardens, the wonderful buildings, and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. From the man who narrated our train ride, the woman in the broom barn, folks in the Buzzell House and in the Eldridge House, the man at the cider mill, the folks in the toy shop, everywhere we ventured folks were so good at explaining the village and life in the 1800s. The train ride was fabulous! Some of my group had never been there before and are making plans to come back with their kids and grandkids.

I am giving this four stars because of the beauty buildings and structures throughout the village. Incredibly beautiful architecture throughout, and a great place to come on off days (non-holiday). During the Halloween festival, the place is absolutely packed full of pushy people, grabbing any chance they may to cut you off so their children may grab a piece of candy first. Also the train was fully booked until 10pm, and the credit card machines were down. In order to get your moneys worth, I would suggest going on a weekday.

I have enjoyed visits here since childhood. Brought my family here for the first time July 2016 (we live in FL now) and it was as wonderful as I remembered. My son who is 8 really enjoyed some of the hands-on learning or playing and the amusement rides. We rode the Huckleberry Railroad as well which was a lot of fun! I recommend this little treasure in Flint to anyone passing through or lives in the area. Whether Summer, Halloween or Christmas the Village and Railroad are fun, memorable and like taking a trip back in time.

Had a marvelous time! I went on Apprentice Weekend and was able to try many fun crafts. The Huckleberry Railroad train ride is a nice, relaxing 40 minutes and the buildings in the town are very well decorated, maintained and clean. The boat was out of service for repair. Crossroads Village takes you back to what real life would have been like in a town in the 1800s. Those who work their are very knowledgeable, friendly and quite interesting. I loved it and cant wait to go back with friends amd family!

I have taken my family here last Christmas and then this year for Halloween. We have had the best time! Our group ranged from an infant to our parents in their 60s, and we all had a blast. Something for everyone. My 4 year old keeps talking about her favorite parts and I have mine as well! All of the employees and volunteers are really friendly and helpful and you can tell they enjoy what they do. We will be back again this Christmas!

Came here as a child and during school field trips. Now I brought my 4 year old daughter for the first time for the Halloween festivities and she is building the biggest memories ever full of excitement. Shes about to get on the night time train. She loves Polar Express, Tommy The Train and without a doubt she cant contain herself due to excitement to ride on it. You cant go wrong during the holidays at Crossroads Village.

went to the Christmas opening drove 2 1/2 hours I paid to get in and they let the residents in free we could not do anything too many people I paid for nothing if they are going to have a free day for residents it should be closed to everyone else the director is a idiot in every sense of the word free days should be free to every one this was a family tradition I will never come back there again

Visiting is one of our longest standing family traditions. Our son is old enough (4) to walk the entire grounds in the winter during the light extravaganza. Pro tip: if you want to ride the train, buy your tickets online. We forgot to pre-purchase one year, and we had one sad child due to them selling out. The train is heated, so you shouldnt worry about riding it in the winter.

You have to see it to believe it. Myself and my family spent the day here and did both the train and boat ride. It was a blast and we learned alot about the olden days. Great place for families and everyone working there was fantastic. Would recommend to anyone whom enjoys history and a good clean time. (Although we got filthy from the train soot)

My kiddos and my husband along with myself love the train ride and all the historical buildings and we love to learn about the history that lies behind it. We really love to visit the blacksmith and the cider mill. We love to visit as much as we can during the summer time.

I take my son every year to see Thomas the tank engine and we have so much fun. We went last this weekend for the Halloween activities. Everything was great, from the magic show to the trick-or-treating. We are blessed to have this opportunity in our community.

We love this place. We have the season pass which is only $95 for up to 6 people. We go all the time. A lot of times we just ride the train and go see the animals. Its a great and safe place for a family to go for a nice day out.

Greenfield on a smaller, local scale. Steam railroad, paddleboat, 1880 village with cider mill, wood mill, blacksmith, print shop, broom maker. Lots of volunteers make this place buzz.
