The parking arrangements are ridicules. That is to say that you are on your own. Either park at DIA for just under$10.00 or park on the street with a meter. I purchased 3 memberships in November 2014 as Christmas gifts. One family for my daughters family, one for my sons family and a premium family for me and my wife. The plan was to activate at one time and go as a family. We finally made time to visit in October of 2015. We then learned that they activated my premium last November and my pass expired in three weeks. We the called and attempted to resolve the issue and was directed to a supervisor Latoya. Who was extremely rude and unprofessional. She kept insinuating that we were illiterate for allowing our purchase to be completed. She gave the impression that she was aggravated at the fact that she was even having this discussion. Seriously, the fact we misunderstood that situation wasnt a big problem. I have had the membership on and off over the years before the remodeling a few years ago and things like this happen but belittling and handling of this situation was appalling. I definitely will never return. There are so many other places around here. Henry Ford and Greenfield Village, Detroit Zoo, Hands on in Ann Arbor, Cranbrook, ect that will appreciate my business.

Small compared to cost in Columbus. We were visiting relatives in Michigan and decided to take our children. Surprised about the parking, we had to park in a tight adjacent $7.00 lot. The staff was friendly, but just like previously mentioned by many visitors a lot of the hands on displays were broken. Not good!!, especially when I paid close to $100.00. I am hearing by reading these reviews that there is some type of bank of America discount. I paid wit a BOA card , but no one offered me anything. The Imax I payed for was okay. The planetarium was very boring, just like a lecture,no moving parts. I am used to the planets moving and swirling above me in a planetarium. You should not have to pay extra for this offering. We enjoyed the stage show by Chrysler. But feel cheated because my children had no time to visit and do the lab experiments, because the Imax and planetarium took up our time, and where not worth it at all. I would suggest not paying for the extras if yo go here, or make the extra drive and visit Cos I in Columbus.

-Expensive, I dont see why this place is in financial difficulty with the ridiculous ticket prices. Fort the lowest priced ticket, we paid over $30 for adults and $20 per child. -We were asked for donations in several places. -Sparse collections and exhibits that were too narrowly focused on fabrication and auto trades. -Geared towards ages 12 and up. The "kid zone" was uninteresting and had very little for kids to do. -The instructors of the classes/labs are not efficient and read from a script. The classes take longer than they should and kids lose interest. -Many pieces of equipment were missing or broken or did not have any information explaining what they were. -The high point of the trip was the Ice Age exhibit. Although very small, the curator knew a LOT of information and was willing to answer all of our questions. -The food court area workers were extremely nice and the snacks were well priced.

I have loved this place ever since I was a tiny kid. Its really catered for younger kids (10 and under) in my opinion, because although theres a lot of cool stuff, some of the exhibits are a bit run down from just being there so long. The IMAX theater is truly awesome - its a dome theater and the movie wraps around your head. The membership is the way to go if you plan on going more than once per year. Nice location too, right next to the DIA (you can usually park right on the street in front of the DIA). Be aware that a lot of field trips go through here during the week, so you may have to deal with large crowds at the IMAX/planetarium, but they also manage them fairly well.

We have a membership here and come often. My three year old loves it! We always make time to play in the little kids area and he loves the construction area. I have never had a bad experience with any of the staff members. They have all been very nice and helpful. Parking can be an issue just be prepared to park on the street or use their valet service. We pack a lunch and use a locker to keep our stuff in ( located downstairs by the lobby). The cafeteria is good for snacks but we dont rely on it for a full meal. The i max videos are really good and the planetarium is good for older kids. Heading there soon with friends!

Feeling disappointing after going last weekend and buying a membership. I was very very excited to go since my lil guy is finally old enough to understand some science. The sites were overwhelming but without much substance. So many of the exhibits were not really functioning and the planetarium was just a big lecture. Having been to many other science centers this one falls flat. We also paid to see the bug exhibit and it was quite underwhelming. I would love for the management to visit some newer science centers and get an idea of what is available. I want to see the city and the facilities succeed.

I went there yesterday with my boyfriend and both of us were really disappointed. Finding a place to park was ridiculous. The only place we could find parking was at a parking garage somewhat close but it was $7 and credit card only (so make sure you have one). We got there and it was incredibly expensive for just general admission for the two of us-Thank God I have the student discount! For as much as we paid, I was expecting much more than we got to see. Id say at least 50% of the hands-on things were broken. It was fun because I was with my boyfriend but total disappointment. I wouldnt go back.

We had our daughters wedding here at the Science Center. It was the best wedding ever, and the set up was wonderful. Chelsea was our point person and great at helping us organize the event. Kevin created "the stars and sky" in the IMAX to make this wedding special. The dance floor was open to see from the dining area, and the elevator was clear so we danced when going up and down! The IMAX theater was a great place for the ceremony; everyone could see, it was comfortable, and the acoustics were perfect for the musicians. It was definately a night to remember.

Went there with my kids and nephews - total of five kids between ages 5 and 15 and three adults. Thought the exhibits were reasonably well done and more importantly kids had a good time learning especially at the electricity show. On the way out the oldest injured himself on a glass that appeared to have no purpose close the to exit. Staff was not well prepared for an injury and unhelpful - with exception of one young lady. Email to the staff through the website (to request protecting other kids or better emergency prep) has gone unanswered. Disappointed.

Waste of time and money! The parking is scarce, the price to get in is expensive, everything was broke when I went there. Hardly anything for littler kids to do! The staff is useless and not even close to friendly! I got to choose where I wanted free tickets to from the DMC and I refuse to even get free tickets to this place! Also, there is no food there except for a vending machine. Also, they advertised that they had the accidental mummy exibit there, but when i went in they had discontinued that months before they were scheduled to end it!
