The theater changed quite a bit in the last year, I would argue not for the better. I bought tickets online and there was no one checking tickets or getting people to direct them to their theater. When I sought someone to get my online ticket verified they told me I didnt need to and that I can just go to my theater, which was an inconvenience to have to find personnel and somewhat uncomfortable since it deviates from typical ticket checking. I went to grab some concessions and found they have changed their practice to self-serve on drinks and frozen beverages, which meant in addition to waiting in line to make the purchase I then had to do for myself what others used to do for me at the same price. The self-service beverage area was pretty unkept as people rushing to get their things left it a mess. Once in the theater both the reclining seats did not work. Luckily I was early enough to find staff before the film. To their credit they got the chairs working after a few minutes, but it was an inconvenience and had I not been early may have resulted in a very uncomfortable seat all film. Ive always gone here since they opened, and I would still in a pinch, but can honestly say I would now avoid it given an alternative option.

Personally I like the new seating but I can understand why some people wouldnt. They fit for the way I sit in a chair which is slightly reclined but for shorter folks if not reclined the headrest will hit in the back of the head pushing it forward. Very uncomfortable indeed. Add to that the bar that runs across the sight line and theyre sunk. There are a few unobstructed seats in the front of the theater and two on the aisle a couple rows from the top. Trust me, some people are in seventh heaven with the recliners and so far I havent heard any snoring but Im sure it will come. Prior to getting the new seating we would purchase the luxury seating if available, now were not as likely to altho the service is certainly nice. Our only complaint with the Emagine is that we wish theyd get more independent films. They cater to big box office films with more special effects than story and acting. Movies as opposed to films. My husband and I are avid movie goers and I have to say that the Emagine has THE best popcorn of all theaters. Its popped fresh as needed and is the full kernel not the teeny tid bits!

I cannot say enough about how much I apreciate this theater! The idea of reserve seats is the greatest thing they ever done plus the seats are huge they look and feel like they are made out of leather with huge cup holders its like I feel like a Hollywood Executive screening a movie for the first time. A lot of times my son buys reserve tickets on his phone and we just literally walk in from outside. I like the Olive Oil popcorn taste great just by itself. Glad they got the advanced Pop machine there amazing and never have to wait to use one. This is an issue that plagues every theater: I do think they could do a bit more to ask people to not open their blinding cell phones and to control their kids from kicking seats or yanking on them have seen people walk out. My thing is if you got something that pressing dont go to the show and annoy people or get up go in the hallway! Kids if not able to sit quitely in a mature PG13 movie should be left at home with you and your annoying cell phone!

Ive been to plenty of movie theaters, but none like this one. Used Fandango to purchase my tickets in advance so I could reserve the seats we wanted to sit in and skip the ticket line. Showed my pass to the staff and they let us right through. The confession lines moved very quickly, my only gripe and reason for taking off a star is the prices. I think for a large pop and popcorn it was almost 15 bucks, which is way more than Ive ever paid at any other theater. However, the lines moved very fast and you could get refills on pop, from the cool Coke machines that let you add flavor. The theater was also very amazing, as the seats are leather reclines, that let you pop up a foot rest and recline. They made the whole experience just that much better. Overall this is one of the best theaters Ive been to, other than the high concussion prices.

Very nice theaters, comfy seating with enough space in the aisles, tickets are reasonably priced and the popcorn and food items are also good. It would get 5 stars, but every time we go, there are 3 or more people behind the counter at concessions, stocking or refilling nonempty items, with lots of people in line having to wait and wait. This is especially frustrating, like when I went to get a refill during the movie and I missed too much of the action because theyre in no hurry to deliver customer service, and theres no separate line for patrons who are already in their seats. Its happened that we just skip concessions, or sometimes even going to the theater altogether because of this. But if we want a family night out at the movies, this is the theater chain we would choose.

Was there this past weekend to see 50 Shades! Snacks and drinks were great as always but what really put this experience over the top was the customer service! The manager working the service desk, I believe his name was Eric, is top notch! I had bought 8 tickets but due to a couple not being able to make it I had to get a refund on two tickets. Eric was friendly and courteous, chatting it up with us while processing everything then he even got me signed up for a loyalty card, which after adding all my tickets I already got a Free Small Popcorn! While the seats were comfortable, and the food and drinks were tasty, the customer service you receive here is what sets this place apart from other theaters and the main reason I remain a loyal Emagine Customer.

A movie theater that tries to be more than a movie theater. Although it may be overkill, Emagine Canton tries to be a one-stop night out. Hungry? Over-priced foods are available. Want a drink? Stop by their bar. Theres even a lounge area for you to sit and enjoy drinks with friends. Seeing a movie is obvious, and you can be assured that you will see it in style because of their leather recliners. Staff is friendly and professional. They wont cater to your ever whim like a 5-star restaurant, but they serve you as their job description warrants. Very friendly people who will answer any questions you have. I choose this place whenever I want to catch a movie. Emagine succeeds in being a movie theater that offers much more than movies.

Emagine Canton I felt was one of the best theaters in MI, they stood out from the rest with affordable pricing on tickets and food items along with comfortable seating. Im a loyal member and visit the theater more often than others and enjoy bringing my family...A family of five however I notice this weekend the prices had changed drastically the combos for popcorn and Soda increased not by a dollar or two but four...thats a huge price difference from paying fifteen dollars to now nineteen thats almost 60-70 dollars just for a family outing at the movies so now their just like all the other theatres with over priced food and snacks...No reason to bypass AMC theaters anymore prices are now the same very Disappointed!!
