Great setting! Gets you worked up into their membership. And that gets you close to nothing. You get50 % off the tasting, which at the full price is ridiculously expensive, for the middle-of-nowhere, Michigan. And I didnt even get the discount the first time. The 2nd time I waited and waited at the bar to be served, till I walked out. I called in to cancel and they got very defensive, saying that I took the advantage on my discount. They kind of got embarrassed, when I said they still charged me full price. Not polite at all! I stayed with them hoping ta least to get some good picks on the bottles. When the time came to pick up my membership bottles, I drove up there on the Black Friday. And thats when I got real disappointed: everyone was getting such great discount, that my membership bottles were more expensive to me , than to regular visitors! And I got the worst of their wines, ones I would never buy! What a bad deal!!!! And no, flaunting the ownership of the Music Box Theater does not help.

Have been going to Dablon since it opened which coincides with when our daughter was born. We live in Chicago and stay in Michigan 4-5 times a year and have probably been to Dablon twenty times. We always have brought our daughter there. Dablon was our favorite winery (we would go there almost everyday during our visits) but yesterday we showed up and were rushed at the door by a young lady saying we could not bring our daughter in who is now 2 years old. I said "what are you talking about? We are wine Club members and have been here numerous times and always bring her.". They have new rules, no one under 21 allowed. This is the only place in the area between all the wineries and breweries that has this rule. We now will have to cancel our wine Club membership and will never go again. What a disappointing new rule!!!

Do you want to impress a date or have a great time with a group of friends with your taste in wine? This is the place! The wine maker/owner knows what he is doing, he even has Tannat on the menu (trust me its a hard find). The tasting is $10 for 6, (which is a bit more than what other neighboring wineries) but it is worth the knowledge that is put into the wines. Across the board a wine enthusiasts will not be disappointed. The layout is absolutely gorgeous, with a variety of natural stone framing in its structure, worked leather furniture and fire place. You cannot be under or over dressed for this place. Also, there is an outdoor patio/terrace. Winery tours are given, however you need to schedule them before hand.

Pretty facility outside. Wine is comparable to many close by facilities. Recently stopped allowing kids under 21 in which has resorted to my whole family discontinuing memberships with them. We have heard that the owner dislikes kids. I understand keeping a "prestigious" winery, kid free, but dont they realize that most people visiting Michigan (besides bachelorette parties) are families and grandparents with kids? That has been one of the biggest draws for us in our 20s and 30s and 60s that we as adults can still have fun at adult places with the kids. If you have a family, dont go here.

There were two rather intoxicated bridal parties (one wearing "drinking team" t shirts) taking up the majority of tasting room space. We three waited and tried to find a spot to begin our sampling but finally left. If these were typical parties they were there to drink not buy. We were there to buy. Perhaps when Dablon establishes separate areas and guidelines for groups to follow like most other wineries we might return. In the meantime there are many other outstanding wineries in that area to visit and purchase wine.

BEAUTIFUL winery with outrageous prices. A tasting was $12 for 6 tastes (hubby and I shared one) and staff was impersonal but attentive. Really the only time they were personable was when we finished our tasting and they were pushing glasses ($8+) or bottles ($20+). Hubby loved their red wines and I felt their whites were "meh". Definitely a good place if you have the money.. but for people traveling the wine trail and going to multiple places its worth skipping.

Dablon is an experience, situated in Baroda you can sit outside with beautiful views and listen to music or sink into one of the plush leather coaches on the tasting room. Their wines, especially their reds have character and complexity and it is great to be able to learn and understand the varietal! The additional benefit is that it is 21 and over, so you can enjoy your wine in an adult environment! Thank you Dablon for always making it a pleasure to visit!!

I was disappointed. After a climbing up the many stairs we came upon the tasting room with oak paneling, a stone fireplace and beautiful marble bar. The attendant did not offer much information. Pricing was comparable to the area. We decided to sample 6 white wines. We liked one of them. The rest left us with a undesired aggressive aftertaste. The patio had a decent view and a good band. I may try it again and see if the reds are better.

Awesome time and great wines! The inside was just as beautiful as the outside, and we will definitely be going back. Ignore the 1 star ratings. They are from people who are mad that they cant take children there anymore, (who takes children to a winery/tasting room???) and from a person who went when they still allowed Bridal parties, which they no longer do. My fiance and I are even thinking of joining their Wine Club, we liked them so much.

After tasting a few vineyards in the area, we were pleasantly surprised with the vintages we tried. While other vineyards in the area lacked the quality compared to Napa vineyards, this one came the closest. The Tarpon was outstanding and the Chardonnay was flavorful and interesting. The ambience was upscale without a sense of pretentiousness. We will strongly recommend to friends and will visit again.

The tasting room was the highlight. Beautiful venue. Wine was lacking complexity and did not stand out. Was very busy that day but the person doing our tasting seemed about as uninspired as the wine. Would give it another chance if time was not an issue. Worth a visit just to take in the ambiance of the place but dont miss another vineyard to go here.

Building and grounds were beautiful and the service was fine. This site has more of a modern aesthetic compared to neighboring wineries. Dablon is a newer winery and it seems they are still in the process of finessing their wines. The 2012 and 2013 vintages that we tried lacked character and interest. Surely quality will come as experience increases.

Fantastic spot on the Michigan wine trail! They have a great variety of wines, slightly pricier than some of the surrounding wineries but they have a great selection of dry wines, which is a relief if youre not about the sweet, fruity wines you find a lot in this area. Really beautiful setting, good service--we came back twice on our weekend trip!!

Dablon, by far, is our favorite winery in the area. The service is always exceptional and the people are fabulous. Great place to meet others and enjoy a glass or bottle of wine with. The atmosphere is inviting and beautiful. Dablon is very open to suggestions and any event I have been to has been top notch!! Can you tell.... I love Dablon!!!
