Winehaven Winery is the absolute perfect place for a fairy-tale wedding. It is family owned and they were so extremely accommodating. They made me feel like I was the only bride they were working with even though I know they have countless weddings and events there. They opened the venue early for the wedding party and I to get our hair done in the upstairs area/bridal suite and allowed us to bring in our own breakfast and lunch. We had the whole upstairs for ourselves! Amy Perrin was amazing at answering my questions and coordinating every last detail. She was onsite the whole time to ensure everything was flawless. I especially loved the outdoor ceremony location (incredible pictures, very convenient for guests, and you cant hear the traffic from the freeway) and the ability to move inside if the weather didnt cooperate. They allowed us to bring in lawn games for the social hour and we were able to securely leave vehicles in the parking lot overnight when they shut the gate. The owners even took pictures of our ceremony and texted them to me the next day - they truly go above and beyond to make your day special (and it doesnt hurt that their wine is delicious :) I would HIGHLY recommend!

Ok so first off, I dont really consider myself a wine snob. But I am from Oregon. So that probably gives me some standards that others dont have. Well, I mean, Maybe. Potentially. I am always impressed when I go to Winehaven. As a person who generally likes drier wines, it is sometimes hard to find a quality place in Minnesota. Their Nokomis, as well as Marquette wines are fantastic. Also, when I go wine tasting I go for the experience not just the wine. The people here always start such fun conversations with me. When it gets busy there is less time for quality conversation, but that is to be expected. Ive been to some wineries where Im treated like a number when I am the only person in there...but Winehaven staff truly seem to love what they are doing! I will be back!

This place -and their product- are awesome! It would be easy for someone to see "Rhubarb Wine" and "Mead" and dismiss them as sickeningly sweet novelties unfit for connoisseurs, or worse, dismiss the mainstream Winehaven products in light of their more eccentric offerings. Youd be missing out big time! Not only are the eccentric wines like the raspberry light, well-balanced and with a flavor profile just like eating the real thing, the more "ordinary" wines are fantastic. The Riesling has a delicate elderflower note, the Marquette a robust oak-barrel flavor. This is wine for people who mean it, and reasonably priced to boot. My Favorites: Mead- you cant leave without trying this. Marquette Riesling Red Ice Wine

Went here today for a tasting, really disappointed in customer service and hospitality. Our server couldnt even answer a basic question as to what grapes were used in the wine we were trying, and didnt even try to find the answer just told us, I dont know. The tasting wine was sitting on a table, served warm. As a lady, the most disappointing part was that there was no purse holder at the tasting bar, but there was where you paid. Bought wine, but wont be back. Ill give my money to our local liquor store.

I started out drinking Winehaven"s Strawberry and Rhubarb wine, which is as wonderful to taste as the name implies! I have found the Chisago Deer Garden Red to be by far the best wine I have Tasted. I have passed along many bottles to friends and relatives and have not let anyone down on my recommendation. The Deer Garden is in my oppinion an any time chilled or room temp served wine. Not a dessert wine but yet not dry like a merlot..The folks at Winehaven are gracious and have a down home Attitude.

My wife and I have visited many vineyards in Washington, California, and Nebraska. We also visited one other vineyard in Minnesota. The wine at Winehaven is excellent!! The Honey wine is phenomenal, but the other wine was profoundly good too. I dont know what contributes to a great bottle of wine, but the folks at winehaven have the knowledge and their effort is evident in the results! We purchased 2 cases of wine, and will return for more in a couple months. I highly recommend winehaven.

Winehaven is a brand that I can confidently buy off the shelf, knowing it will be good even if Im trying a new vintage. Usually I warn people when Im opening a bottle that Im unfamiliar with, but with Winehaven Im never concerned... Im always excited to see what theyve done next. Their honey wine is a great standby for desert, their red wines are complex and range from fruity and sweet to oaky and strong. Maybe its the south Minneapolis loyalty, but my personal favorite is their Nokomis red.

Loved the Raspberry wine, but the experience was not good. Unorganized is the best way to describe the tasting. While they have this nice granite top bar that is quite large, you only pay for the tasting there and are then sent to a tiny overcrowded bar in the corner for the actual samples. The staff lacked the ability to converse and were not welcoming at all. Felt like herding cattle and "taste our wines and get out."

My wife and I were on a day trip and she saw Winehaven and we decided to stop in. I love these little treasures you just stumble upon. There is a great selection of wines and the tasting had us wanting more (so we did buy some more for later). The young lady working there made us feel like honored guests instead of customers, she really made the experience more memorable. We will be back!

The experience here was decent and we found a wine to take home, but they didnt walk us through the tastings in a very educated way or engage us with more knowledge about their wines. They were really friendly, though, and overall it was nice, but it was not a standout among winemakers or wines.

My wife and I did a wine tasting here. Beautiful building and grounds. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. They explained the different types of wine we picked from the list and what to expect from them. I bought a few bottles to go and definitely will be back.

We went to Winehaven as part of Lees Limousine Wine Tour and it was so much fun! It is such a beautiful place! They treated my bachelorette party so well and the wines are to die for! Highly recommend this winery for tasting.
