I have been a colonial bowler, sporadically now for six years. Regarding service it has gotten much better. I know that some people have said there was an absolutely awful man working being the counter, but I do believe he has been replaced. I go fairly frequently but not enough so that they remember me, and can truly say the employees have become friendlier and friendlier. Do try to follow the food and drink signs though. The prices at colonial are not terrible but there are definitely places much cheaper. Shoe rental: $2.25 String: $3.25 or so. Finally, colonial has that old charm about it. With the styling the same as way back when and paper score cards rather than automated ones, its definitely original to the area. A great place for all, I highly recommend.

The owner cares so much about this place. Its like you are going back in time to the good old allys before they started lighting up and doing all the work for you. I love it here and use to go regularly with my grampa. Its a big family. Even though grampa cant bowl anymore they still continue to ask about him.

We have been going to Colonial Bowl for years and have always had a good experience. It is clean and inexpensive. It may not be fancy with electronic scoring and black lights for "rock n bowl", but it is perfect for families with young kids.

Colonial bowling closes around 9 30 A.M on Sundays sadly. But, any other day of the week it is upon from 10 to 5. Really great classic place to go to though fun for kids and adults with its classic 80s look.

A wonderful place to go candlepin bowling. Cant beat the price. Its also on a WRTA bus route.
