I just moved to the town and was walking around checking out different bars. This one is my favorite so far. The place is clean and had pool tables and dart boards. Good amount of space to move around. The bartenders are friendly and the food was pretty descent. I guess they just added a legit kitchen and went with the never frozen chicken which tastes great. My favorite part is the jukebox connects to an app so you can pick songs straight from your cell phone. AMI barlink for those who care. Check this place out

The Pleasant Cafe for years has been a very solid local business, but with a reputation for being a little rough around the edges. Not any more. The place has been refurbished in a way that maintains its original character. Most importantly, the brand new kitchen is turning out a great menu of approachable pub food. Nachos, burgers, chowder and more can all be recommended. Host to billiards leagues and teams.

Went to Pleasant Cafe for lunch last week. I work locally in Maynard so this was really convenient - in walking distance from the Mill. I was pleased with the quick service, helpful wait staff, and lunch menu selection. I think this is a hidden lunch time gem. I will be back!

Great local spot to grab a beer, watch a game or just meet up with friends. With the revamped kitchen/menu, now its a great place to grab a bite. The staff is friendly and attentive, which makes it that much more enjoyable too.
