Recommend EXTREME caution when buying from the farmers market there.. several sellers there openly urinate outdoors next to the rundown building in the upper park half(with no way of cleaning their hands). Dont walk close to parked cars... people often hangout in their cars(drug users, hookers, homeless, etc). Two major streets intersect the park with no working pedestrian crossing lights. Many sections of the pedestrian walkway is badly damaged - broken cement, so watch where you walk. In upper park - limited trash barrels and old peeling and bent benches. Baseball fields with rusted fences and one with sand washing out on one side. Old closed up building boarded up is often graffitied, pissed on, and drug use. And the urination happens from hookers, homeless, drug users, farmers market people, city workers, and business people(eminar trucking and holy ghost feast organizers). Lower park- broken walkways, closed up broken down pool, tennis courts busted down and huge pothole to bottom parking lot entrance.

Nice park with a lot of history. The view overlooking the river would be amazing if it werent for the blemish of a nuclear power plant right there in view... My son loves the big playground, though I wish they would run a fence all the way around it and add a gate... This would help keep the little ones from wandering off (or getting abducted) when out of view while the adults sit on the benches. We dont want to be helicopter parents, but the playground is really large and completely open on 3 sides, so we have to keep getting up and moving to other benches every time our small children move to another section of the playground.

Nice playground with both a toddler-accessible structure & big kid structure. The path around the park & the inside of the dry fountain are great for the kids to bike ride. It also has some decent hills behind the gazebo that many love to use for sledding in the winter! Kennedy Park hosts a program during the summer that provides free lunch to school-aged children & ...I guess something of a PE class? They have a number of sports balls & encourage the kids to play. Basic craft projects are usually available as an alternative (or you can do both!). Free on-site parking available.

This is one of the most extensive playgrounds around. It is made of the best materials; stainless steel slides, vinyl coasted metal posts, soft rubber based artificial turf throughout. The problem is the people. Despite the fact that the city has provided ample garbage receptacles, there is garbage everywhere. I dont understand why people bring their kids here and trash such a beautiful playground. I can only imagine what their homes look like. The city does have clean up crews out weekly but it would be nice if citizens could take care of there own back yard.

This is a very nice park with a VERY interesting history (search Wikipedia). I cant give it 5 stars. But its up there IMO. I mean how can you complain about such a nice park in the middle of a city? I personally love Fall River, and think its a great city. Despite the fact that many put it down. And to me this is the epitome of what people who complain about the city, dont appreciate. Its a big park with 3 sections I guess you could could say. They host a festival here every August. I simply find it to be a bit of peace in the middle of a busy city.

Great park to walk, jog, get some exercise in, or maybe enjoy a chourico sandwich instead, maybe absorb the Fall River ambiance, and maybe ponder the Lizzie Borden case, and consider the latest theories. At the top of the hill, across the street, is one of the prettiest cathedrals in the universe, St . Annes. Worth the trip!

My son LOVES this park! Theres always another kid to play with but its not overcrowded. I still stay close by given the area. A Fall River Police Officer was called there and told me theyve had an "increase in calls about child predators & possible abduction attempts" since the park has been improved

Great place to relax during the evening. Updated play areas provide entertainment for the kids along with the winter ice skating rink, wicked good sledding and covered pavillion providing shelter during the fluctuating weather. Dont miss the huge Holy Ghost Feast to get a feel for the local culture.

Beautiful Park with gorgeous views and foliage. It has basketball tennis courts and baseball fields. Newer handicapped playground, biking skating, and walking. Dogs are welcome and bathroom located in the office. Check the South Main St. Corner for upcoming events.

The play ground is ok. Crowded often. But what kills this Park is older teenagers/adults. They go to Kennedy Park and are doing drugs. I went there this past weekend and there was a group of them swearing and smoking pot near the play ground.

It has a great playground! Safe equipment, ramps and access to special needs children. Unfortunately its also a popular hang out for drug and alcohol activities. The grounds do have litter and broken glass outside the playground area.

Love Kennedy tons of new swings for the kids. Love having picnics on the beautiful landscaped grounds. Have the summer lunch programs for the children. Also get some Cardio on the walk trails they have along side the bike path!

I grew up playing at kennedy park, and like the rest of the city it sucks! Fall River is not the same city i grew up in. Outsiders relocated from other places have ruined it.

The park and playground is awesome. Some of the kids and parents use bad language so that is the reason I gave 3 stars. Also one swing is broke and the fence has a whole.
