This is hands-down my favorite bar with a dance floor to go to in greater Boston. I must note though that the this place is many different places at different times. On weekend mornings its the official Liverpool soccer meeting space in Boston, on weekdays at night its drum & bass, and on Friday and Saturday nights its 80s music and top 40s. The weekend is where its at! Where do I start? The bartenders and bouncers are friendly, the people who go there are approachable and friendly, the music is a blast to dance to (there is a bench on the right side of the bar you can stand on like a stage), the dress code is nice but lax as well so you can wear whatever makes you comfortable. Unlike the pretentiousness you may find in certain parts of Boston, people who frequent this place are laid back almost all of the time. Central square is great and this is the best place there. Ive probably been to Phoenix Landing over 30 times and Id say Ive had fun every time! Great places to meet friends, dates, and to bring your friends!

After reading the mostly positive reviews for this place, my friends who were visiting Boston and I decided to give this place a shot to grab a drink as most other places were closed. Our first mistake was going here on a Sunday. Everything else is dead in town except for the creepers were out on the prowl... They have several large TVs around so it would be good for Sports along with a dance floor that they start the music later at night. During the entire time I was with my friends there was a man who kept walking by us several times and telling and pointing out to us "Thats my son" from across the bar. Once we realized the music they were playing for 80s night wasnt quite our jam we were ready to head home. On our way out one of the managers calls out to us, "Wait ladies...! We are just about to put on the good music!" Nope, nope, nope! Way too many creepy vibes for us for that one night. Maybe this place would be better on a weekend night, but Im sure there are plenty of other options.

This is the official meeting place of the Official Liverpool supporters club here in Boston, MA, LFC Boston. The club has been organized since 2006 and gained official status in 2008. If you are looking to find a venue for watching the Premiere League or Champions League or to discuss everything LFC related, look no further, you have found your home. The club is made up of Liverpudlians, fellow Brits, Irish, American and a host of other nationalities. The Phoenix Landing is the official meeting place of LFC Boston and every Liverpool game is shown live in the bar, even the ones at 7AM on a Saturday or Sunday morning! Come, join in the singing, raise a beer, and have a mean Irish breakfast!!! YNWA

An alternative Irish bar that hosts a variety of events/crowds, with soccer/rugby games on TV (mostly Premier League, on weekend mornings -- a known hangout for fans of Liverpool, New England Revolution, and Manchester United), dance parties (Friday/Saturday, with 80s/90s + Top-40), Geeks Who Drink trivia & Midweek Techno (Wednesdays), Elements (Drum & Bass on Thursdays, 12+ years running), and a schedule of impressive/international/über-cool DJs. Dont be discouraged by the sketchy outdoor digs or a long line -- plenty of fun awaits inside.

I want to preface this review with the fact that I am not a soccer fan, so with this bar being dedicated to soccer fandom I may have been out of place. This is a pretty spacious dive/sports bar mix that has some decent quality food. The problem that I ran into was that the servings were quite small despite decently high prices. They had some very creative dishes though that made it still a fairly good experience. The waitstaff wasnt all that attentive despite the fact that when I visited I was only one of 4 parties in the room.

While the mood and atmosphere seemed nice, I had horrible service at the bar. I ordered the fried haddock sandwich and was served fish & chips. When I brought this to the bartenders attention, his only response was "This is just like fried haddock sandwich. Fish & chips is fried haddock. Just no bread." I could have maybe forgiven him except he went ahead and charged me for fish & chips anyway. Rather than fight him over the cost difference, I took it out of his tip.

I come here often in the weekends. If you enjoy a predictable set of 80s music mixed with top 40 (as I do), this is the place to be. The crowd is well-mixed and people always seem to be having a great time. The drinks are ok--they can be a bit on the watery side. The food menu, though limited, is pretty tasty. The staff is consistently friendly and attentive. Overall, Phoenix is a great place for a quick bite, a casual date, or a fun night dancing.

Phoenix Landing is the perfect trivia venue -- not too big, not too small, not super crowded and staffed with servers who know how to keep a table happy. It doesnt hurt that they have great burgers and decent beer prices, either. If youre looking for something fun to do on a Wednesday night, look no further :). Pro tip: If you stick around after the pub quiz, theres always some kind of dancing, and occasionally a noted DJ will show up.

Bartenders were incompetent and the beers were overpriced. We had just finished eating dinner and we were planning on eating dessert and ordering a few more drinks before we were ushered out to free up the table. Same thing happened to another group directly after us. More interested in business than customer service. The Tavern In The Square just down the street is a better place for watching football/soccer/World Cup games.

The few times I have been here I have found the food/service to be a little disappointing. During my last visit I ordered a deluxe grilled cheese sandwich, suffice to say the menu description was a little more enticing than what actually appeared. Will I go back? Maybe, they do show a lot of soccer which is a plus, I would recommend eating elsewhere.

Very disappointed. Waiter constantly got things wrong and forgot orders. Food was bland. Everything was expensive. Flatbread was $15 and it was tiny. Covered in random lettuce for some reason (see pic for example). The fries/chips were dry and seemed microwaved. They need Gordon Ramsay to come in and help them out. Pink lemonade was good though!

Not just a pub, but also home to some of the areas popular nights! Live music every night of the week - bass on Sunday, reggae/dancehall on Monday, live/electronic on Tuesday, house on Wednesday, drum & bass on Thursday, 80s/top40 dance on Friday, 80s/90s on Saturday. Great location off the red line in Central Square.

If youre looking for a good atmosphere and good Radeberger Pilsner beer in authentic Radeberger mugs, this is the place! This is the hangout for all Soccer fans. It gets packed during important matches, so you need to show up at least one hour before the game or you get left out.

where else in cambridge can you go at 7:30 a.m. for english premier football match with 250+ screaming liverpool f.c. supporters? they make the atmosphere and a cider or guinness will get you yelling at the tv too. night time seems like fun too for reggae and house nights.
