Nice local park. Parking reasonable. Facilities are clean but old. If youre local and dont want to drive to Hampton or Narragansett 90 minutes away, this is good. The only issue is that recently this was part of the Western Quadrant of Ashland where they were spraying for Mosquitoes with West Nile Virus. Since then weve avoided coming here until thats resolved. Otherwise wear long pants and sleeves and use mosquito repellent.

I hike in and kayak. Park is well maintained and the staff Ive interacted with have always been friendly and always make sure people get their cars out before they lock the gates and close. Its quiet, kids swim, most people kayak, canoe or paddle board. Occasional trash but everyone Ive seen picks up after themselves and others where they can.

Great place to take your dogs for a walk, or just a walk in general, about 2.5 mile loop around, usually takes about 2 hours if stopping to let them play in the water. Fairly well maintained paths by the water but sometimes a steep grade, other paths further in from the shore are more level.

This place has a great hiking trail loop around it with great views. There is a lifeguarded beach also. Its pay to park at the beach side but you can park for free at the boat launch on the opposite side of the reservoir. Its a popular place for dog owners so watch out for dog poop.

This is a great state park. Unfortunately, the state closed it for several years and never invested in fixing it up after reopening it. While it was closed, locals got in the habit of using it as a dog park, and it has retained that upon reopening.

Good state park within limits of commuter(Ashland MBTA). Parking at here with small charge, but you can park near by community center for free and walk to the reservoir. Have plenty of spots for camping and trails for walking around the reservoir.

Great park for walking or swimming. Cozy feel. The beach is a bit more like gravel than sand. Lake is beautiful. Plenty of shade for those that need it, tho the beach itself is usually full sun.

The park is absolutely gorgeous! I did a trail 5k race there a few weekends ago and really liked the trail for hiking, but found it a challenge to run. Definitely worth visiting again!!

Really nice 4-6m track around the reservoir. Fair amount of people and dogs. Not many "gifts" from dogs. Good for trail running and hiking.

The sand is rock hard. The beach is tiny. The lake is beautiful. Very loud with an interesting crowd. Not for me.

Very nice place, about 5km walk around the reservoir. Very picturesque but bumpy. Not a good biking trail.

Nice beach and swimming area for little ones. Kayaking straight from the beach makes it a little hectic.

Absolutely a great place.... If you have dogs it is better. Let your dogs loose and let them have fun.
