Let me start off by saying Torrent is not the best club out there for those who are 18+. Ive conducted a research on other clubs, and Torrent is on the lower side based on popularity. The pricing for 18+ is now 15 dollars, compared to last year where the entry fee was 10 dollars. If one were to go on a day when an inexperienced DJ is playing, there are not going to be many people there and one would waste 15 dollars with no reentry (this is for those who are 18+). If the price was lower, more 18+ people would attend this "low-average" club, and the club would be packed. As for those who are ages 21+, they finally changed the pricing where those who are 21+ are able to enter for free (mainly because people who are 21+ purchase alcoholic drinks). About 3 months ago, the owner of the club charged 21+ men 3 dollars and let 21+ women in for free. Now lets talk about discounts. THERE ARE NO DISCOUNTS, especially for military members. So that basically ends my statement about discounts. To conclude my rant about Torrent. Torrent, in my own definition, is a "low-average" rated club that essentially creates its own pricing whenever the owner feels like it, and can be sort of packed on days when there is a popular college DJ playing or a popular DJ from another state plays for Torrent. I will conduct another research on this club next year and will submit another review of this club. My boyfriend and I went to see the Broken Lizard comedy group last night. It was a sold-out show, and was packed with people (no seating, just standing general admission). We were in the middle of the mob, and couldnt hear what the comedians were saying. I am of average height, but couldnt see the stage over the tall guys in front of me. There are only speakers at the front, and not around the sides or in the back, so its tough to hear over the chatter coming from the bars in the back. People were getting cranky and hollering at other patrons when they would talk, out of boredom, since we couldnt hear the show. People were picking fights, I cant believe they actually serve glass bottles with their beers for safety reasons. This venue is horrible for a comedy show! It sucks because I love this group, Never will be back.

Management and bouncers are just a bunch of ignorant, rude jerks who most likely didnt even finish high school for their lack any human reasoning possible. They have no respect for band members and their fans. It seems like they dont realize without these bands and their fans who come support the shows, this place is nothing! Yet, instead of being grateful that they give them business, they would give you a hard time every time they get a chance, even for the most ridiculous things. Besides this, the place is dirty and it smells horrible. Totally dislike staff here - they should invest in better customer service center because they suck.

How did the Recher Theater manage to hire the biggest D-bags in the Baltimore area? As I am trying to enjoy love and peace from a Beatles cover band I had to deal with the biggest meat head tools for a staff i have ever seen. And to make matters worse, after I spend $60 total all night, they would not even give me a cup of water but sold me a $3 bottle.....Recher theater you suck!!!!!!!!!

A fun spot to dance out. Great for EDM fans. The decor is pleasant without being too tacky. The sound system is great, the bar is fairly priced and quick, and the LED wall is nifty. Some will lament the loss of the old Recher Theatre, but judged on its own, Torrent is a decent addition to Towson nightlife

Its terrible. Management thinks it is an exclusive NYC nightclub. It kicks people out for the smallest of reasons. No mention of strict dress code on the website. Says its free admission but thats ladies ON SOME NIGHTS and most of the time $10-$20 for men. I give it three more months before closing.

My God child is playing tonight and I would like to enjoy my visit but seating for someone with a handicap is a problem. I have visited several times but can only last about 45 min. Can I bring a folding lawn chair so I can sit?

Definitely a scene for the locals. Lots of college girls if youre into that, no one here over 26. Decent night club with dance music. Definitely a fun time if youre looking to dance in Towson.

all bouncers and bar tenders are awful. very rude every time. the worst venue and bar ive ever been to. crowd sucks, bar tenders suck, bouncers suck. will never go back again.

Saw the band MELON FARMERS. They were great!! Play a bit of everything..ska- reggae -rock. Just awesome talent!! Check them out on Facebook! Coming back in February!

Love this place. Acoustic shows are very intimate and full band shows rock the house. The bartenders are awesome and they serve boh cans which is just perfect.
