We have been coming to Sharpshooters when we would visit before moving here in 2003. We then starting coming 1-2 times a week on trivia nights . NO time in that time have I ever met an owner or even knew who the owner was until this past Thursday. Trivia on Thursday has averaged about 20-30 people 15-20 of who come EVERY week! These people order food and have drinks each time!! This past Thursday we were told Trivia was cancelled - no reason no nothing CANCELLED FOR GOOD! Our server said that the owner was out on the deck if we wanted to speak with him about it. A friend who was in our party happened to be out on the deck smoking his pipe and overheard the owner speaking to a couple with him. He said "these trivia people come in here once a week - eat and drink for free and then leave and I never see them any other time. Im losing money and I have bills to pay" Now granted yes Mr Owner gives prizes of 25.00 first prize; 15.00 second prize and 10.00 third prize. But with the amount of people there HOW can he be losing money??? He evidently is not counting the others who are there participating, eating and drinking who DO NOT win yet PAY for their food and drinks. He evidently is not counting the other times we come there to eat and drink when trivia does not take place. Like I said I come here at least 2 times a week or so and more if I have guests in town - I have NEVER met the owner. Before leaving we had talked with others there about different establishes that have trivia and where we could go - we have made some nice friends and have had a great time with the people who attend. As we were leaving my wife yelled across the parking lot to one of the friends that we had made unaware of the owner on the deck - She said Hey I guess we will see you at the Pike and to that the owner yelled back to her GOOD! What a jerk ! His staff is unhappy - he has lost some of the best waitresses and bartenders - his servers are talking about leaving because he continues to cancel stuff and they cant make tips why doesnt he just sell the place so that a new owner will do things that the PAYING CUSTOMERS like and things that will continue them coming back ??? We spend an average of 40.00 to 50.00 each time we are there - this easily pays for the prizes he gives away!! Doubt if I will ever go back there even if he does have trivia come back - he needs a good lesson in customer service - I heard he owns school buses maybe he needs to stick to that !!

Sharpshooters: just outside Gettysburg. Service: somewhere between abysmal and awful. You know its not going to be good when the bartender doesnt even acknowledge you for the five minutes youve been sitting at the bar, and the person next to you gets his attention for you (guess it was much more important for him to be putting glasses away rather than be bothered to serve customers in a more than half empty bar). Food: WAY overpriced and undervalued. It would have been more tolerable if the waiter had brought over the entire meal, instead of saying he would bring the balance of the meal over after being questioned about it. Leaving the balance of the meal was considered to be the gratuity for the great service received. Warning signs: I should have realized it was not going to be a good experience because they are advertising for all positions in the paper. I was hoping it meant for the summer, but it was probably to replace the entire current staff. Chance of Returning: ZERO, NEVER, NOT IN THIS LIFETIME, NFW!

Visited this Grille since the Herr Tavern next store had just closed for lunch for the day. The food (eg. hot 1/2 lb burgers) was the sole highlight of my visit. Service took forever with only two other patrons in the place; the ice tea was watered down; houseflies were abundant everywhere; the inside décor was dark, dingy and well worn to the point of being completely worn out; the inside atmosphere reeked of cigarette smoke and the bathroom(s) were simply deplorable! This place reminded me of some ole college watering hole... where is the management at this establishment and what are they thinking???

Nice small classy dining area with no smoking. Nice bar area with smoking allowed, two pool tables and two nice tvs. Has live band or dancing area, must check when they will have either. Descent beer on tap selection with descent prices. Good food specials thru the week, but bar is usually dead by ten thru week.

The wings were fantastic (especially the sweet and tangy) and our server was super helpful and friendly. Definitely try the hard cidee, which is pressed right down the street at a local winery. It was also the only place in gettsyburg that had open outdoor seating in March so we could bring our pug :)

Went in with a bunch of friends and brought lots people into an empty bar. The bar maid was rude, had no sense of humor, not happy to help her customers and lost seven customers. I would not recommend coming here unless you want terrible service.

I worked and played there. People were GREAT and service was always awesome. I miss everyone I had the pleasure of workin with and meetin there. If you havent been there you should make it a point to. Best wishes Sharpshooters crue lol.

Service was slow but waiter was very respectful. Burger was undercooked, cold and bun was soggy. Would not come back here or recommend anyone to eat here.

Awesome cocktails. Great drink specials. Half price apps on Thursdays. The people are friendly and the food is good. Bacon cheeseburger soup is fabulous.

Food was good after waiting 45 minutes for it. Service.... Although undeserving, we left a tip. We would have been better off going to Perkins!

Bitchy bar maid and bad management. The place was empty and we came in with people and the bar maid was unhappy to assist us.

Saw the bad reviews and went to sharpshooters anyway. We had three meals and all three were good. Recommended.

Worst experience I have ever had. Staff was very negative and rude. Do not waste your money in this place.

Very disappointed no longer have the Wing special an wings very small.
