Our new favorite place to go. I think this park definitely has the friendliest staff and visitors in the state of Maryland. The staff here is so willing to help and give advice. Our first visit to the park, I happen to take a break beside one of the landmarks when a staff member strolled over and gave me a 20 minute lesson behind the landmark. ( lime Kiln) . I am use to people really not saying much to me due my appearance but visitors are always so polite..... there is creek or lake that everyone loves to go down to either sit and chat by, skip rocks or just splash in. We havent walked the entire trail yet. The nature center has a few animals and a chicken or hen house in the front. My children love to sit in front of the hen house. I cant give this park enough praise. I doubt anyone would go and not find this park a beautiful place to visit. It has become a regular place for us now.

Just returned from our second kid field trip there. It is bewitching how the woman Pat who runs the place can make delightfully fun things like pumpkin picking, apple picking and an allegedly "childrens garden" so purely JOYLESS and MISERABLE for so many kids. Picture a permanent scowl and the most boring drawn-out comments about the plastic siding farmhouse. She stopped every thirty or forty seconds to scold a child for basically existing. I went there two years ago and swear Id never go back. Somehow, I forgot and ended up there with my daughter this morning. We left ten minutes before the end (far too late). Its remarkable how condescending these women were to 4 year olds. She looked at them like they should neither be seen nor heard. If you like your kids (or kids generally) or even nature, stay clear!

I used to enjoy this park, but the last few times I had to leave due to the insufferable noise of Bagpipes. No concert notice, no warnings via event boards. Any other noise of that volume would be met with police, but this fool is aloud to roam around and annoy every corner of the park, making me and my family very uncomfortable so we are routinely forced to leave.

Stunningly beautiful. The fields are huge, the woods are even bigger. Everything looks like a place from a fantasy story. The forest is full of secrets, like abandoned cars, an old quarry, and a mysterious structure connected to the Loch Raven water main. If you wander off the trail, youll never see another soul. This is my favorite park Ive ever been to.

This park doesnt have a playground, but it does have lots of "back to nature" type stuff. Theres a community farm, outdoor beehive, stream, and paths along the stream of varying lengths, up to a couple of miles. The park also sponsors lots of events such as easter egg hunts, camp sleepovers, etc.

Great for dogs, people, and wildlife. I always had fun on school field trips there. Now that Im older, the artisan festivals and other events are even more fun. I love the environment of Cromwell Valley and I like the people who spend part of their lives making sure the park is healthy.

Such a gem tucked away in the hills. There is hiking, sandbox with learning area, nature center, Turkey and chickens, working garden and lots of picnic tables. There is even a Hawk Watch Club for watching the hawks fly overhead. Great birding area too. Highly recommend.

Yooooooge Park with tons of trails that are always well cut! Biking, and dogs are permitted. Also, there is an awesome old farmhouse that you drive through when you exit! My wife and I walk our Lab here all the time!

Great place for a nice hike or walk with the dogs. Good trails and not too crowded at certain times. You may come across some old cars and similar left from when a road or town was there...very old cars.

great hike, starts of steep elevation with lots of trails to tailor your hike to your liking. the deeper woods are beautiful, the blazes are well marked, very little out in the sun, no issues with bugs.

Wonderful park situated on former estate, with extensive hiking trails to nearby Loch Raven Reservoir dams. Also, a great place to bring the family for a picnic.
