I never thought I would have to write a review like this. The reason why Im giving it a 3 out of 5 is because of the Chef Tim. He cannot cook to save his life. Theres this dinner buffet every Tuesday night that I go. The last couple times I went, I thought I was going to barf. The food was TERRIBLE! So many people have complained about the chef but no one does anything about it. Ive been a club member for years and I have NEVER had awful food there until this chef was hired. Theres no flavor, the smell is God awful, the menu constantly changes. Even when I order from the regular menu, it STILL sucks! Im not too sure why the club members love the new menu so much. There are less choices, the ingredients have changed for the worst, and theres only ONE good thing on the menu... and that is their funnel cake. Thats just my personal opinion, but something needs to happen or theyre going to lose club members. I would rather go eat elsewhere before heading to the club for any event. This is quite disappointing for a country club with a great reputation and with what they charge you for being a member. SO sad! On a better note: I love the people there! Everyone is very down to earth (at least the ones I know). The service is awesome, too! Very nice, professional, and respectful staff. #MakeMontgomeryCountryClubGreatAgain

As a golf club, this is a 5-star track. One of the best courses in Maryland. Its a sneaky good, tree-lined, challenging, 50-year old course. Greens were redone about 8-10 years ago and the course is always in immaculate shape. On the down side, the clubhouse is not great and the food options are limited. There is also no tennis. Never been to the pool, but its 25y as opposed to 25m, so slightly shorter than regulation. Staff is excellent, especially for events. Members can use the facility to host events, catered by the club, and its a great place to do that. Valencia is the best in the business and runs every event going. And the grill and patio have been significantly upgraded in 2016. For a golf club, its the best bang for your buck in Montgomery County.

Ive been a member here for around 8 years. They change the menu too often. Take off the most popular items and replace them with whatever is cheapest from sysco. However, the Club had turned it around in the past years with more menu items staying on the menu for longer periods of time. The golf course is excellent and in great condition. New servers are great and caring. Overall, MCC is a good Country Club for those in the greater Laytonsville area.

Love Montgomery Country Club. This is a great golf course that is relatively unknown by many golfers in the area. It has a very laid back feel, and the members are truly what make this club unique. The course is awesome and it always well maintained. You wont see a lot of shirts and ties at this place which is why so many people enjoy it.

Well today there were hairs in the food and I still think the food is good but they have taken the most popular things off. They have redone the patio and its looking good overall this place is ok
