Ive recently taken up golf, but as a beginner the hardest thing for me to deal with is the greens fees. Hope Valley, though, is very cheap (the 2nd cheapest Ive found in the area, behind Frederick Golf Club). The fairways are narrow and the terrain is uneven, but youre paying 1/3, if not less, than you would at an average course from what Ive seen. If youre a golf elitist youre going to hate this course, but if youre a beginner that doesnt want to spend a ton on green fees while trying to get experience, this is the place for you.

Hope Valley is a very scenic golf course, with rolling hills and beautiful views. The fairways are a bit narrow, but that just makes it more challenging. Those that complain are usually the ones who cant hit the fairway. Maybe they need to practice hitting the ball more precisely! Props to Hope Valley for being affordable, fun and challenging!

The greens are slow. There are dry patches. But it is great value and quite pretty. It is great practice because it forces discipline with tee shots. Very nice staff.
