Ive heard enough bad things about the other bars in the Power Plant district in downtown Baltimore to know that its not my scene, and last night I received proof. A group of friends wanted to go out for a celebratory party, and the idea of the live musicians intrigued me. The bars themselves upstairs looked nice enough, so I thought that even though I only saw people drinking Miller Lite, I might be able to get a decent drink. Wrong. I went up to the bar and ordered an Old Fashioned and was told that they dont have bitters. The best I was able to get was a vodka tonic in what looked like a regular rocks glass, but when I picked it up, I realized that it was plastic. To add further insult to this experience, it was then that I noticed that some of the tables had these buckets on their tables with 5 or 6 straws sticking of them (gross), filled with some sort of either blue or pink drink. The fact that this type of bar was peddling this type of crap in a bucket, and that I was drinking a watered down vodka tonic in a plastic cup because they didnt even have a real glass, or bitters for literally one of the oldest drinks on the planet, is pretty telling. This is the type of place where people in their late 20s and early 30s go because they want to relive the glory days of beer pong and drunken sing alongs. Its the type of place where people go to get drunk, not to actually have a good drink. And if thats your thing, then by all means go, but this is the type of thing most people should have outgrown by the time they graduate college.

This place is awful the service is slow and painful! Also they nickel and dime you for everything, the food came out late and cold the drink were weak and piano guy didnt know common songs. Worst piano bar Ive ever been to no fun at all you will leave angry and wanting your money back. The power plant had way better bars and things to do seriously dont waste you time with this place. Howl at the moon is usually a good time in other cities but this was one of the most frustrating experiences of my life and all my friends have had similar experiences

This place was such a surprise! The two piano players that sit facing each other may have been some of the most talented people I have ever seen off the stage. They could bang out every single tune they were given by ear and are funny at heckling the audience in the bar who chooses the music. Prices are great, especially if you get there as happy hour is going on and just stay through for a bit longer. Greasy bar fare and good margaritas - it was wild fun!

Greatest bar to go to in Powerplant! Music is great and they do take your request its just others pay tips to get their song played first! The day I was there one of the singers actually went out of her way to listen to a song and attempt to sing it on stage! Hey if you are expecting them to know every song on the book you may be crazy! Great people, live music, and drinks in a bucket, what more can you ask for!? I always go there when I go to Powerplant!

The band was not that impressive to start with but then I noticed that all of them can play nearly all of the instruments. Really a great time. I would recommend staying away from the syringe jello shots. The "cherry" ones tasted a little but like manure. Ugh... Review sound to negative. Id go back anytime. Lots of fun with a group.

The place I work at decided to have the yearly holiday party here for 2016. It was a pretty fun time. Be prepared to bring tip money to get any of your requested songs played. Very dimly lit, difficult to have any conversations because of loud music but that is part of the experience overall. Talented musicians, for sure.

Interesting mix of college and older crowd. Music was good, but dont expect to carry on a conversation over the volume. Drinks were a little overpriced for the quality. Multiple bars to minimize the lines. Not a bad place, just not really our kind of scene.

They would not take many requests. The fact that they added drums & guitar took away from any spontaneity. That were trying to be a band rather than entertain the crowd and although kept getting requests with money, just played their sets.

I love piano bars, and the show at Howl at the Moon is a little bit less predictable than at others Ive seen, its hilarious, and the audience involvement is awesome! Not hard to find good deals on getting in too.

This place is crazy. A lot of people. I had a great time at this place. The drinks were cheap! The bartender was great. Highly recommended if you are looking for a place to absolutely have fun.

As far as Howl at the Moon goes, this is a fun place. Its the biggest out of all Howls that Ive been to and while the talent changes, the scene doesnt. Its a lively, almost frat-tastic bar scene.

I was here for a work event but we had an enjoyable time. The entertainment was great and truly engaged. Friendly bartenders and staff. Limited food options. There was no wifi.

One of the best bars in PowerPlant Live! Friendly staff and always a good time. Performers are spot on and know their stuff! Can get crowded, but always a great time for a night out!

I thought it was supposed to be dueling pianos but instead it was just a cover band. Also the bartender was lame at selecting beers.
