Was on the way home from Sport, and a friend called me on my cell with a PC problem. Couldnt resolve over the phone, and the friend said theyd reimburse me if Id get a motel room for the night and save a 90min drive home and back again in the morning. The friends wife checked online and said that the deal finder she used shows Boomtown to be the lowest price near my current location. I called to reserve a "Handicap Accessible" room and informed them Id pay with cash. The clerk said Id have to provide a credit/debit card for the hold, but it would only be charged in case of a no show or damaged/missing items from the room. After arriving, the clerk couldnt get the receipt to print but said I could get a copy at checkout time. After getting the room location, I was told that the "only available room" was at the farthest end of the hallway after exiting the elevator (abt 200 away!). After inquiring about handicap accessible parking, I was told they provided free valet parking, but the only close parking spaces were reserved for senior managers and "High Rollers". I wound up having to park my own car, walk (I have to walk with a cane and can only handle short distances) from the Parking Garage 3rd floor elevator, thru the Casino ground floor to the Hotel area, up the elevator and a long way to the room ( to be reversed when checking out). When I finally got a copy of the receipt, Id noticed that not only had I paid the full bill with cash, the clerk had "inadvertently" charged the $75 reservation security to my debit card (leaving me with $65 total cash/debit card assets until the next month (2 1/2 weeks away). The front desk "Manager" was in a staff meeting and I was running late, so I left a message with a request for the manager to resolve the matter. After 4 days of "Well get back to you" (never did), I was finally issued a "hold cancellation" due to the hotel not running the charge through. Never got a call from anyone even after responding to the std "Howd we do? automatically generated email. Gave them the whole crappy rating, additional comments, and a request for someone to contact me. Still waiting........

Not happy at all with my experience. If I could put negative stars I would. Checked in and told at the desk we had no reservation in front a lobby full of guest... so embarrassing then she left went inside a door after I showed a confirmation email stating no need to contact Hotel. Then came back with an excuse. Security asked my wife if she was a man or using her litlle brothers I.d. really??? She is stunning!!! You treat people like this that come to spend money??? I was looking forward to staying here. I have been so excited. What a awful bday experience. Took $600 with 0 payback from machines. No comps no offers for nothing spent $190 on a room. Spent $120 at steak restaurant ....dont get me started on that dinner experience. Horseshoe went over and beyond spent the same amount a lil less actually ....after we checked out there Horseshoe comped us our room including gave us free buffet before we played. Their machines played fair won a med jackpot with ease after putting $350 in. Why would you run a business like this no hospitality whats so ever shame on you!!!! I can take your 0 payouts if you have comps at least. I hope your happy!!! Word of mouth is more powerful than this pointless review. Thanks for a unpleasant experience............In regards to this review message I left a week ago, Boomtown has contacted me personally and trying to resolve my issues. Seems likely they are going to reimburse me if so I will gladly delete my review for them taking initiative to make it right. Maybe this was a day the place was off. I can only have more respect for a company that actually cares, the head of Boomtown is very disappointed with the staff from what I can observe. Hes working on every department and has made each one of them call me personally. To me thats really comforting. Honestly, I sugar coated my review bc i did not want to completely roast them with every bad detail that happened. Thank you Boomtown for actually caring what happened. Hopefully I can delete my review soon.

A fair place to stay in Bossier City. The room was clean and quiet. The rates are good if you book it a few days in advance (better than the other casinos). In particular, the beds are very comfortable, towels are plush and the room has the amenities of a good hotel. The room had minor disrepair- iron barely hanging on the wall, very difficult to get the shower to function, closet doors hard to open. The turn off is largely with the staff who does not seem overly concerned with the customer experience in terms of being friendly, helpful, etc. The location makes it convenient to travel over to Shreveport or other nearby towns. Your mandatory room deposit is not returned for 7-10 days. The property is clean. There is ample parking is in a well lit covered area. Because it is a casino you are reasonably assured of good security. Im rating it as a 2 of 5 based on the front desk personnel and reservation process. I booked it online yet upon check-in I was told they did not have my reservation. The desk staff made a minor effort to verify but told me I needed to call back the number I called to make the reservation. I showed them the number (with date/time) on my iPhone, and it was the main line to the casino - they were indifferent. I called the number and explained my situation. The person I spoke with was on-site so I do not know why the front desk could not get this done. I worked with the person on the phone who found my reservation, entered twice, with my name spelled incorrectly. I had to hand my phone over to the desk clerk to get things resolved. Ultimately I was able to check-in however; the front desk was totally indifferent to their service deficiency. From this experience, believing that the customer experience was not a top concern, I chose to dine elsewhere and limit my stay to one night. As far as lodging I think this is a better than average place to stay but you need to lower your expectations for guest service.

First of all I am a regular customer of this casino We called a reservation from Houston ,Tx to get connecting rooms i will make sure that we get connecting rooms because i got 5 kids and i cant have them in different rooms because of their ages we packed our stuff from houston all the way to the hotel took us about 4 and a half hours to get to the hotel and that was my first time i brought my wife and kids to this hotel and as much i liked this hotel and as so clean and as much i loved staying there i invited my family to come with me to have great time and show them this place we went to check in that my connecting rooms was gone and when i asked for the manager she said i am the manager with an attitude and i asked her what happened to my connecting rooms she said it was gone because it was a holiday so my reservations didnt mean nothing so how can i trust you after all my loyalty to this place i am so disappointed from the manager the way she spoke to me in front of my family and my kids you shouldve seen look on their faces and she said you got a problem go see the casino manager and went and saw he was a very nice guy he couldnt help me either so went to a different hotel and my family was very pleased with it because we got what we want i just want to say to the boomtown owners HAPPY NEW YEAR THANKS FOR THE DISTURBANCE FROM YOUR MANAGER AND THIS IS THE LAST TIME YOU WILL SEE ME IN THIS PLACE THANK YOU
