I cant tell yall how wonderful the people at Atomic Pop Shop are! I bought my boyfriend a record player from them last year for a Christmas present and (in my genius) thought I could hook it up to our surround sound. Well... It has been collecting dust for a year. We brought it in to the shop to figure out what kind of speakers to buy etc and they were so awesome. The lady (Carrie I think) recognized our player right again and Jeff gave us more history on it... Previous owner and such. He also tinkered with it to tighten up a part and instead of selling us the most expensive speakers in town, he told us all we needed was a pre-amp to route into our surround until we are ready to invest in a real amp and speakers and such. He showed us how to use everything and gave us some travel tips. We also picked up several albums to enjoy now that we can. We came from lafayette but any distance is worth it to deal with such pleasant people with the know-how to make sure you have the best equipment quality. We are already finding thinking of new "excuses" to head to BR so we can drop by. Five stars just isnt enough

Best record shop in... THE WORLD! The owner and every employee is super nice. They are happy to answer any questions and dont look at you like youre a lunatic for asking. That alone makes them better than most record shops. Besides that they have a variety of every kind of music. If they dont have what you are looking for they can get it. And unlike most record stores, they dont jack the prices up so high that you need a loan to buy some music. The only record store that gets my business

Purple haired angel is ny fathers name for one of the owners. Moved to tears over how empathetic, kind and truly professional they are during this time of trying to salvage what little pieces of the past remain. Please support this business!!! Praise God and spread the word so our community can continue to be blessed by local small businesses such as this one.

Ive known the owners, Kerry & Jeff, for decades and theyre very cool folks. Lots of awesome vintage vinyl and various related collectibles adorn this warm and unique atmosphere. As a 62-year-old "vinyl junkie," I highly recommend this shop to music-loving locals and tourists!

This is a nice place to spend some time. Its inviting when you step in, has a good selection of vinyl to choose from. I always find a bunch of records I want but end up having to set a limit on how many I leave with.
