Star Lanes is a joke! A hilariously bad experience all around! First, they have 2 chinstrap bearded toolbags stand at the door and turn away anyone who isnt appropriately dressed for a bowling alley. Please know in advance that your preconceived notion of what acceptable bowling alley attire consists of, likely does not align with the standards that are expected of you as a customer at Star Lanes. It is grossly overpriced and you bowl by the hour, not by the game. They will stack your whole group onto one lane so you all get to bowl half of one game per hour and then its time to pay again. They have pretentious, overdressed, undoubtedly underpaid servers strutting around offering expensive, bad food and drinks. You must be 21+ to get in, yet the jukebox is filled with radio edit pop music. The lanes, balls, and shoes were all selected for looks over functionality - if you care at all about bowling, you will be extremely disappointed in the equipment provided. Bottom Line: If youre planning on going to Star Lanes for the sake of socializing, reconsider - any other bar in town is a better time. If youre planning on going to Star Lanes for the sake of bowling, reconsider - any other alley in town is a better time. Be good to yourself - avoid Star Lanes.

I had a wonderful time at Star Lanes on the levee!? My son and I came in while playing hookie from work and school. ( I only get to see him every other Wednesday/weekends so any excuse to hang out is a good excuse!) After walking around the Levee to see what they had to offer we stumbeled across Star Lanes. We were greated with a friendly smile and hello by the girl at the front desk. She asked if we were there for their Lunch and Bowl special. After explaining the $7.95 Lunch with a game of bowling offer we decided that it was a good idea to stick around and bowl. I ordered the Chicken Caesar salad and my son got himself a cheese pizza. For a 7 year old the pizza was massive! and the Caesar salad was filling as well! We bowled our free game and then paid for a second! The atmosphere was good. A little slow, but what would you expect mid-day on a Wednesday. I would suggest Star Lanes to any parent who just wants to spend a day with their child! I would also suggest it to any Parent who wants to go on a date night! I have since returned twice in the evenings (21 and up after 9) and have also had wonderful experiences!

The place is a rip-off. A poor knock-off of a Jillians or Dave & Busters. They charge hourly, per person, for bowling and pack as many as 8 people to a lane, even when there are open lanes. We paid $150 for 7 people, for 2 hours, bowled at a fast pace and could not get two games in before they shut us down. Drinks are no bargain, either. The place was managed by children with little understanding of customer service. If you go, make separate reservations for each 4 people in your party under different names, so you dont get jammed-in. Better yet, go to a "real" bowling alley, save some money and have more fun.

I reserved a bachelorette party package, and when we get there, the waitress was not well informed if what was included in the package- because of this several issues arose out of confusion so I had to speak to the manager several times. Drink and food orders took 15-30 minutes to be served after ordered, checks couldnt be separated, and gratuity was included yet the waitress informed us we could leave more of a tip if we wanted. Thanks but no thanks. I may give this place another try sans a specialty package to see if the experience is any different, but overall I was extremely disappointed with the experience.

I dont know what everyone below is talking about. I have gone quite a few times, and every time I go I have a great time. The staff is very nice, the venue is very clean, and the prices really arent bad for what you get. You get to bowl in a nice atmosphere (non-smoking, too) and you get a server at your lane to bring you all of your food and drinks. I had an issue with my lane not working properly and it was resolved so fast, and nobody seemed to be burdened by me asking for help. They also play great music! Dont be scared by the reviews below. Give it a try.. I love Star Lanes.

Not worth your time or money. I tried for 35 minutes to order a drink while my friends and I bowled. The bartenders and servers were too busy socializing to pay attention to would-be, well-tipping customers. The bowling alley itself was not bad, but the experience was horrible. Even the manager wouldnt address customers. Too busy to serve customers. I will never go here again and would highly suggest you spend your money elsewhere. How disappointing...

Quite a decent place. Went there with a couple of friends to have some beer and bowling. The beer options are quite limited. We also got some cheese fries which were good. The bowling alley was quite fine. Although there was a lack of variety in terms of balls available to bowl with most of them being on the heavy side. Overall, a decent place to hang out if you really want to bowl. For beers, there are so many other options in the Levee itself.

Family member had prescribed medication for Epilespy and substational amount of money stolen while at Axis Alley by ONE OF THEIR EMPLOYEES who has been arrested and other employees are also being investigated. Staff was not willing to assist with police report,now we know why because they stole it ! while the Regional Manager advised that basically shes out of luck. Horrible service ,horrible ethics ,horrible mangement !!!

DO NOT GO HERE. It is $10 per person to bowl for just an hour. The music is terrible and way too loud. It is lit like a jersey shore club. And forget about drinking here. $11.00 for a pitcher of skunked bud light. We had eight people wanting to bowl and they wanted to put us all on one lane. Lanes which are not oiled nor maintained. Save your money and your time. Go elsewhere. Anywhere else.

Expensive and the lane didnt work properly. We had to wait over an hour to get a lane, and the one we got didnt work properly. It kept resetting at the start of a players turn with pins missing or knocked down. This was not a one time occurance. Happened at least six times. For $10 a person at any other lane wouldve gotten us at least two games, but not here...

Beware.....air conditioning is not large enough to cool off the building! We paid 20 bucks to bowl for one hour for both of us and we were sweaty and felt aweful and didnt even stay for the hour because it was so uncomfortable. The servers were complaining how terrible it was too. Im glad we got out of there before it was packed with other sweaty bowlers. Yuck

The bowling lanes suck !!! really....If you want to visit the place to try your hand on bowling,listen to me "DONT GO",Not that just they are overpriced,but something wrong in design.The bowl just wont go straight,no matter how you try !!! So if you have extra money to spend and want bowling with discotheque experience,you might want to visit here........
