It had been awhile since I saw a play at Actors Theater, though once I entered the main lobby it had that welcoming sense to it. Though I didnt know anything about what I was I was going to see, someone asked if I wanted to go with some other people in a group, I knew whatever it was, surely it wouldnt be a let down. After viewing some of the art that was on display in the upstairs section, appreciating the overall aspects of the detail that remained to still show is beauty, I made my way to the theatre the play with going to take place in. Once seated, the actual play itself was meaningful, acted out with a fine detail of subtle wording and a definitive detail that had a great meaning to it. Its a place I would recommend any to look intonation whenever you decide to come to Louisville.

Saw A Christmas Carol on November 25th in the Pamela Brown Auditorium. The seats were phenomenal and the overall performance was stellar -- it had been many years since Id seen A Christmas Carol and this new, updated version was visually stunning and compelling. Actors Theater is a must-visit for anyone who wants to experience a Louisville tradition alongside passionate and talented actors, and a first-rate support staff!

“What a phenomenal accident!” Ended up in Louisville by accident, after dinner at the Spaghetti Factory we went for a walk through town and stumbled into the Actors presentation of Dracula. What a wonderful Halloween treat!! Tremendous acting, great characters, great scenery, and excellent experience. Cant wait to find time to go back!

“GREAT local theatre” This is a great local theatre! We attended "A Christmas Carol," which is in its 40th year here. The space is fantastic...theres not a bad seat in the house and you feel like youre right in the midst of it. They did an excellent job, and well be looking for more plays there in the future.

The facilities here are great and the staff is always helpful. I cant think of a negative experience that I have had. The bar upstairs seems to be understaffed at times but that isnt anything that cant be solved by arriving a few minutes earlier.

Been going since I was a little kid in the 90s. I saw so many great plays here. It is a great experience for kids so parents make sure you get a year pass if they still have those and give your kids some memories they will cherish forever.

The play 39 steps was Awesome!! The four actors were exceptional! The staff was super friendly & very welcoming. The woman in the box office really worked with me to help me get season passes at a reasonable price.

The architecture encourages social interaction before entry into the theater. The seating inside is easy to navigate. Dont forget about the restaurant attached to the building when planning your evening!

Got a season pass 2 years ago. I thoroughly enjoyed every play I saw there. They have multiple theaters. My favorite was the small one where the audience was entirely around the stage.
