The Ally Theater is a lovely little gem in the midde of Louisville. My party wandered in while stopping in town on our way to the eclipse. We caught Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson and were absolutely blown away by how tight the show was. Its a tiny intimate venue, and they fit a surprisingly large cast into a small space and put on an excellent show. I WILL warn you the theater is small and can get very warm. Get there early to sit towards the front where there is more air flow, and you wont be bumping arms/knees with your friends. If you have a larger frame, the small seats might pose a problem for you.

Ive been to a couple shows here, its a small intimate theater. We entered in through the shop on the ground level, checked in with the shop attendant and headed up to grab a beer at the concessions before the show. Its nice they had a couple taps in addition to their bottle selection. We saw the Theater of Blood most recently and it was a fun show! Ill definitely look forward to more productions at this theater. The only problem I ran into was, when I ordered our tickets online before the show, ordering multiples was a little confusing on their mobile site.

I was visiting Louisville recently and went and saw "Bloody bloody Andrew Jackson" at the Alley Theater. It was VERY well done with a large crew playing an even larger cast of characters. I was really impressed with the quality of the show given the small size of the theater- if I lived in the area I would definitely go back! My only complaint is that the theater itself was small and VERY hot- at one point I thought I might have to leave the performance because I was so hot I was starting to feel ill. Otherwise it was an absolutely amazing experience.

Ive only been once but I remember the show was great. It was a Dr. Who christmas mix with the Grinch I believe. I think it is a local company of actors that perform here too, so its great for the community. I loved the wall with a bunch of graffiti. Great for a quick photo with friends. Good memories.

Its not polished, but it is always earnest and honest. Even shows where I didnt enjoy the source material I absolutely felt the heart of the company.

A great place to watch live plays by local performers and playwrights. Get off Broadway, and go to The Alley!
